Afternoon everyone During a drunken eBay sesh the other night I came across this and for reasons that are unknown to me, I stuck in a bid Well as you can probably gather by the thread, I only went and bloody won it! So yesterday I took a day off work and travelled the 2 and a half hours to Birmingham to collect my drunken purchase. Its actually quite a cool little scooter and I am now looking forward to getting it all nice and shiny The only problem I can see is the lack of parts and information available. So far the only parts I have come across is an exhaust on eBay and the bike came with a workshop manual, so at least I can take it apart. Its 100cc Automatic and was big fat failure from Triumph, who built it to compete with the already well established Vespa's and Lambretta's. The bike was found during a house clearance a couple of months ago and from what they can tell hasn't been used since 1975. The bike also came with part of the 75' Tax Disc. Some enthusiastic comments would be greatly appreciated lol! Cheers Sammo

And getting running.

That's cool. Who needs a vespa or lambretta when you can mod it up on a triumph!

That is super cool! As nice as Lambrettas and Vespas are I think your Triumph just pips them in terms of coolness, just because it's something different! Sounds like parts are a bit of a problem but to be honest I bet you could improvise and adapt your way through the recommissioning without too much trouble, and it will be a really rewarding project. Keep us updated!

I cant beleive that those are so cheap. I just looked at that ebay ad of the similar scoot, I assumed it was several hundred pounds worth, but it was only about a fiver more than my Honda Melody. I hope yours was similarly cheap... Unbeleivable find, love that.

probably the hardest bit would be sorting the rear wheel to look like the front one, how fast do you wanna go? plenty of 80cc aircooled auto moped engine about that could be persuaded in

Well its 100cc at the moment so I was going to look at a 125cc maybe. I'm ok at fixing and restoring stuff but I have no idea when it comes to fabricating and adapting stuff.

Had a quick look on the net at what a t10 looks like with out the covers, the engine has a similar swing bolt position to the minarelli engine, the minarelli is used on bloody everything and is hugely tunable, also easily upgraded later to the water cooled model for even more power(just gotta sort the rad position), and an AC 80cc engine ought to get you 50mph all day. www.martinracingdealer.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=Parts+by+Engine+Type%3AMinarelli+Jog+Air+OEM+50cc+and+70cc+50cc+and+70ccnote the drum brake is part of the wheel, with some work you could find a rear wheel in the right size that could match the front. If you want a bigger engine like a runner 125/180 their engine mount is under the engine and so a lot more engineering work to get it in, however probably a lot more worth it in the end
