Anyone know a decent book, website or anything that will help me embark on my rather outlandish trimming project? I've got two porker 924 seats to recover and a set of carpets to make up for my fastback - the carpets i can buy if i need to but seat trimming is insanely expensive! so i thought why not try it - worst case i lose the cost of the cloth, but it might just turn out ok. best case is i find it really easy, become a trimmer, and get to charge other people a fortune so yeah.... anyone got any pointers? paid a visit to Martrim at dubfreeze and quite like the idea of half leather, half alacantara.... but will probably try my hand with something cheaper first!

Never trust a man Who names himself Trevor. Or one day you might find He's not a real drug dealer.

I used to work as a trimmer and have done 924 seats.... the main thing is to be good with the sewing machine ( you will need to have heavy duty needles as standard will break) strip off covers and cut stitching* so all panels are seperate make patterns allowing for salvage for stitching, then stitch together(hard part) *if you mark lines along the edges before seprating panel you can transfer these to the patterns, and when stitched together you aline each mark so when material stretches you can allow for it hope this is some help I'm curse word with the stitching part! claim to fame is my friends type 2 split van won award for best type 2 at bug jam 93 or 94 i think. I did the interior........would like some piks if any body knows where i can find some!
