Read some discusions going on about children, shouting and drunk people..
what about a campsite with a LOUD spot, one LOUD spot, for everyone who wants to be drunk till 04.30
The quiet spot is the other end of the site for people who bring their children or just want to catch some sleep.
all spaces in between are normal, but closer to the LOUD spot its less quiet/Louder.
No rules, just a bit more system in how the site is organised. and it only Needs one sign which says LOUD, or no sign at all and just state the loudest place on the site is the toilet area..(or summat like that)

that's the way it was done last year as we were told entering the camp site. Loud PPL near the front of the camp, quite at the back. but be careful where you park! If you head to the quiet part don't make the same mistake I made Make sure there is no V8's with straight through exhausts nearby as they may get the urge to fire up at 8 every morning for some fettling this one in particular Also watch out for anyone in this picture

Yeah as said it was pretty much set up like that last year. The discussion you saw was about 3 years ago

Most of the 2CV camps use the quiet/noisy end system and it works pretty well.....you'll still get the odd self-righteous moaner, though.
Bunch of blokes+beer+camping=lairyness. Can't wait. ;D

Our camping is known for its relaxed atmosphere so we'd like to keep it all on the chilled/good company vibe, rather than the lairy bug jam type atmosphere.

I wasn't aware of this in the previous years, so maybe an idea to communicate it a bit broader..
it is very clear though.. we apply for a spot in the middle section, on the louder side...

TBH I don't think it was loud in at any point in the site last year! We were slap bang in the middle and neither my mum or sister had any issues with noise... and they are difficult to please Everyone was just generally quiet out of courtesy after about 10pm.

We didn't have any complaints, we had 3 kids with us and were a couple of pitches up from the Nightmares, i think it was ok last year, felt safe enough to let the kids wander about but was still plenty going on so it felt like fun instead of a camp site for oldies, even my 7 year old daughter driving the range rover round the site didn't seem to raise any eyebrows.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

No complaints last year from me.
I had no idea about the loud/quite end. I think I was at the loud end but fell into a deep coma at about 1am!
