MG Maestro. There was a pic of a rally one in this months rero car mag complete with regulation disparaging remark but it actually looked pretty sweet.

The Sierra truly got the last laugh! Originally got a bit of a mixed reaction to its weird jellymould styling, but as time went on it looked a lot less dated than its rivals!

I think the MG Maestro can look quite classy with it's bodykit and cross-spoke alloys if kept relatively standard..
Sierra doesnt quite have the class in my opinion, but I think Xr4i's (and of course 3dr and Sapph Cos) can be nice, would be tempted by a fettled one if it came about.

I agree I like both the MG Maestro and Montego Turbo.
I think the Sierra has a few years yet before it starts to appeal widely.

I used to love my MG Maestro, right up until some thieving traveller scumbag stole it a burn't it out   Sierras will have their day soon (if there are any left). MWF yours looks fantastic BTW |

Always did like them really, even when they didn't have retro appeal on their side, but anyone on here knows I'm not the usual anyway! Sierras I really think are becoming seriously quite cool now, I have fond memories of a mk1 that my mate had when we were at college years ago, we would all pile into it and go up to Hanley to play arcade games and pool instead of learning something useful at college! ;D Anyway, ow's about this:  cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4612175601&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 - not bad, but strange choice of wing mirrors, they look like they're off a '76 Honda CD175! not bad for the current bid of £50! I know this should really be starring in the ebay cars section, but I didn't want it to get lost! I don't have the space or the money, but surely someone on here does. Throttle bodied M/T series would be good, but keep the car looking stock! |
