It dawned on me the other day that I hadn't seen one of these for a few years. Did a bit of Googling - seems they became illegal to use on British roads. InvacarThe depraved part of me is thinking Hayabusa engine

As far as i know they were built by Bristol! I seem to remember the government buying them all back 2 or 3 years ago, i know a few have escaped capture

My grandfather used to have a light blue one like that apparently when he used to suffer from MS
Busa engine would rock - especially when it pulls a wheelie!

They had to ban them for safety reasons. Too many people were getting killed in them - i mean look at it! its made out of fibreglass and has no re-inforcements. Makes a 2CV look like a Volvo.....
Graham Hill was supposedly instrumental in helping them become extinct!

there used to be one on top part of mr cc's estate, on one of roads to the left on the right hand side on a driveway, but that was years ago... not sure if its still there, i thought they were AC too... banned because they were dangerous? hmm so there replaced with open electric scooter things that arent actually road legal, require no driving test, tax or insurance, and are ALWAYS round a blind corner in the middle of the road, doing a steady 8.5mph come on, more old folks must have been squished on them than in a big blue ac thats actually capable of reaching 40 mph+ (prob 60 I'm not too clued up on them)
