it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I do struggle with some art.. Taking a couple of crushed cars and painting them is not art..... is it? Two cars painted pink will always require a serious amount of explanation from the artist (or critic) to justify them. Most of which is unquantifiable/subjective waffle. I have friends and relatives who are artists (ceramic/jewelery) and am always stunned (confused) by their explanations about what the piece 'means'. They make a good living out of it though, so good luck to them. Perhaps I am too dull to grasp it, or too hooked up in engineering, which is a very objective. This however is stunning

CarhengeCarhenge is a replica of Stonehenge located in Alliance, Nebraska. It was built by Jim Reinders in 1987 during a family reunion, and has become a huge tourist attraction for the state of Nebraska. It is estimated that it draws between 30,000 and 80,000 visitors per year. Fourd seasonsThe Fourd Seasons - representing the 4 stages of wheat grown in the area. Green for Spring, Yellow for mature, pink for after harvest late summer and white for winter Covered wagonThe Carnastoga - here is the "Wagon" with the horses out front (not shown). This area saw a great many wagons in the early settling phase of the county.

1303's don't have a front beam either..... same with 1302's, so that's just a late model (with bumper-based indicators) standard beetle. Probably a very late mexican one given the polo-style steering wheel. Probably shouldn't have inner tubes, maybe it was for artistic licence? the same reason they've made an extra cut around the bulkhead, and made it appear to be a 4-door super-cool though!

Celicav8 'stuggle with art' When i was at A and D school, i struggled with Art history a bit, thought it was just load of old paintings and a smug man waffling in a wierd hat and mack! People can make their own assumptions, but lack of effort seems apparent in some of the crushed pieces etc. I always look for something easy and lateral so here goes: Grey one, id say is sumat to do with the greyness following a crash and berevements to go with it DS, I'd say its to do with one man closed from the outside world, not in tune with what is going on outside. Pink Fiat, Hmm? opposite perhaps, the cock pits closed so either theres no escape, or your not that safe hiding in there. Told ya it was simple! no optomistic answers either, i probably got it wrong! Really like the other contributions too, beetle is ace and the concrete block is too, looks like they are flying in and out. keep em coming if ya can.

Bit of an Andy Saunders fan myself.....nice bloke, met him at the Nationals when I was 18 or 19. But I was very, very drunk at the time. I asked the missus if we could get some picture frames like this. She's given up even replying to suggestions like that.
