Just seen this as a freebie in Oxford, and would love to have it, but not going that way to visit anymore It is a space saver from a Mercedes Benz. 15" alloy I think, not sure it is a steel wheel. What model do they come from, what size are the holes, as this one has been drilled to fit a VW T3, T4, T5, Bolt pattern. What size is that then? I just love the spindly look to them, and could imagine them looking a bit DONK Like on a small car. I do welcome Views , opinions, experience and suggestions on potential performance of Space saver wheels, I am sure the tyre can be replaced.

T3 and T4 are 5x112 but T5's are different, not sure what but something weird and T5 only in the vag family, t3 centre bore is 63mm plus (not hubcentric)
I just asked this myself on here :-D
And love that wheel, wouldn't fancy trying to find another 3 any time soon tho!

They just reminded me about the new vauxhall 'alloys' they're a steel wheel but have a spindly design like that with a wheel trim over the top:
(cant find a picture)
I havnt seen any with the wheel trims off, but I rekon they would look awsome.

not sure i'd trust the rim on anything with any poke, it might not be just the tyre thats rated for 50mph although CLK's are hardly lightweight i guess.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Coop T5 is 5 x 120 (BMW) which is a bit Random by all accounts

Grizz, you may also like the look of Mk1 Prius wheels - they look very similar underneath the plastic trim cover. They are also super skinny and seriously lightweight. Not the most common wheels, I know, but at least they come in full sets. Joe

Just to add, the Merc space-saver is an alloy......not steel and as such quite light :-)

I think the Prius wheels are better looking in steel, than with the plastic covers on.
Guess the trick is collecting 5 of the Merc ones in one place for little money.

can you get tyres with better speed rating in the appropriate size for a space saver? porsche alloy spacesaver Just a wild guess, but I would only need up toa 195 wide tyre on there, and suspect they come standard with at least 175 to 185 wide tyres, so going 195 should not be a problem, although the insurance companies would be interested.
