if your gearbox has the switch built in for reversing lamp, you could use that to switch a relay for your rear mounted spot if not then it would have to be a dash mount switch, not sure on mot's veiw of seperate switches for reverse lamps tho

You don't need a reversing light, when i was reading about fog lights it never said any car was exempt but i know i would rather have one anyway (gets well foggy up here in Aberdeen) I am going to mount it behind the rear screen, wired up to a toggle switch on the dash.

fog lamp should be ok off normal dash switch as long as you have a bright lamp near it to tell you there on! mot requirement i believe, but may have to be wired so it only comes on with sidelights or headlights, this would also help to stop you leaving them on

fog light for MOT is needed after '78 I think. reversing spot lamps may be a grey area with the police

You don't evan need [glow=red,2,300]ANY[/glow] lights! Aslong as you tell the MOT man its only used in daylight hours and it is put on your V5.
