Had my Faulkner Lowering Springs fitted today and viscous fan changed so now have a much lower, much cooler (in every sense of the word!) M5! Car looks great hunkered down and the drive is in a different world. So tight - so like a slightly larger e30 rather than a smaller e24! I've been nervous driving it since the crash as it moves around so much under power, cornering and load (I mean laterallly etc...) Now it feels like my iS point and go, point and go! Gives so much confidence in corners as the car is flat and not squirming. Different car to drive - awesome choice and great value at 60 a spring. Heres some better photos - ill do proper photos on Sat after some TLC. You see what I mean about n/s being higher? and one of my boy for no other reason than I'm still a proud new dad!

It looks properly cool. Totally understated for what its capable of, they look so much cleaner without the kit on them. You'll be the coolest dad on the school run in years to come

Apparently (not sure how true this is) BMWs are designed to sit slightly higher on the left side. Theory being that in the home market (LHD) it levels out when some lardy German businessman plants his derriere in the drivers seat. There are even polybush kits available to "pack" the right side spring cups and level them out a bit.

Looking great, I too think E28s look better without kits and with slam and wheels!

I've seen lots of bmw's being higher on one side, slightly newer stuff too. It could go down another inch or two in the front tough, great looking car anyway

Ride height's perfect as it is; a perfect compromise between looks and handling. This is the mighty E28 M5 after all, not some cheap- -piece-of-curse word econobox! ;D

Congrats on having an awesome t-shirt becoming a father dude ;D Liking the M5 a LOT! I love un-kitted BM's in white As has been said, personally I'd go down a touch more (2" at the back, 1" at the front) but that's a personal taste thing. HC.

I understand your thinking on a bit lower but I have an e30 for slamming - this is supposed to be my 'sensible' classic!

Love it! I want one, I mean literally, I want one. Perfect compromise between a stylish retro and something that is comfortable, practical and quick enough for long journeys.
