Hello, i am currently rebuilding a Race inspired mini after a fencepost jump out in front of me! i stared the rebuild in summer '05 into a new shell, the following things i have changed- 1380 (still need a race spec head) weber 45 and mini sport rally cam. (still need a)Metro turbo front mouted radiator + elecrtic fan (fans removed from engine) Subframes front and rear fitted with polyflex bushes Spax 8 point adjustable dampers Metro turbo 4pot callipers and vented disks Fully adjustable front settings (camber, track, castor ect) rear fixed to -1.5 deg Shell has just been sprayed Flame red with black roof and black miglia arches. clearance modifyed front and rear arces. Carbanfiber front end, and is fitted with a rear cage. I can't decide what wheels to go for, i know i want 13s and at least 7inch wide, Super lights, well who don't have them? i like allycats 13x8 but heres a thought, will FORCE RACING 10x7 wheels fit metro turbo disks? i have heard you can fit 3peice 10 inch wheels on them? Here are pics of my car BEFORE the rebuild and i will add pics of the new shell when i get a link cable for phone-to-PC Show me your mini you have built/building!

10's won't go over metro 4 pots, they're just too big for anything less than 12's

Not really fastroad/race...but here are mine. 1979 1275GT Basic spec is: 1330cc Fast Road Cam Stg1 Kit Small bore RC40 The engine is comming out in sumer to be rebuilt and tuned. I'm also fitting a s/c c/r gearbox. This is my other project which will hopefully be on the road this summer ;D (only got engine shots on this comp) Its a G13B engine from a suzuki swift GTI. All suspension in fully uprated and ajustable etc. Getting there with it now. My dad was measuring up yesterday and there is also room for a turbo . (that wont be till christmas tho untill i know that the suby etc can stand up to everything.) I know of a clubby running the same engine with a turbo and a few other slight mods, 220BHP ;D ;D ;D)

Have thought about this conversion myself, i like the fact you can squeeze it under a standrad length front. Nice work, keep us posted with that turbo!

just thought i would add my two cents about 10" wheels and 8.4 brakes. ive got a set tens that do go over 8.4s but you couldnt fit a fag packet or a nats pube between the gap but if you do want your calipers to fit under don't grind the tops down, move the lugs up! and turn down the disks.
smurfy get it turboed son, you know it make sense. while I'm on the subject of the swift motor do you know any good sites on them? still after a mk1 dizzy for mine
