just looked at the forms for my buggy insurance. it asks to declare any mods. how the hell do i answer this since there is no standard buggy to base it on? the whole car is a giant mod of a beetle surely?

Just don't declare any!  I would just mention alloys and any engine mods. Then again i have never tryed to insure one....... |

Declare all modifications, in the end if something does go wrong and everything isnt declared, then your the one who get stuffed. My friend had a beach buggy based on a mini, he went to a specific kit car insurer, and it was very reasonable. I think it was insured as some kind of model, mini siva moonbug. Ill have a chat and ask who he was insured with and how he did it.

I'm insured with adrain flux and its insured as a beach buggy. once all the insurance has been finalised ill ring them and ask for their advice i guess.

My Nymph is insured with Footman James. They asked if it was modified aswell. It is Insured as a BS Nymph not as a modified Imp. Was a bit strange to be asked if the Nymph was modified when it is a kit car.
