Out and about this morning, picked up a boxed unused Sparkrite (nice and old, sorry retro) cruise control kit, suitable for any car (apparently).
No idea if I'm going to use it, but just had to buy it. Uses a thin wire cable that attaches to the throttle linkage and holds it at the set point until you disengage it. Electronic control mounts in the dash. Cool !!!!

hahaha now that would be cool, See it now cruisin down the motorway in the BMW lane passing a Vectra, when the driver looks over just wave and mouth CRUISE CONTROL while flapping your arms .
