Bought this lovely example of 240 wagon from smexy on here last weekend these photo's were stolen from smexy's forsale thread! sure he won't mind! the plan is to sort a few niggly problems and then get modding the list so far is: replace exhaust (currently has a side exit exhaust) replace bonnet hinge investigate the non working heater motor replace worn engine/gearbox mounts replace gearbox (when i can be bothered) hopefully get most of this done over the weekend, then i can start with the modding, any ideas welcome ;D

its not in bad nick,
not aiming to increase performance. Just want something as a decent daily really.
The plan at the moment is just to slam it and clean it up a bit. maybe a change of wheels

As above, just gonna slam it (fronts already pretty low) and tidy it up as I think that's a it really needs to be honest.
I'm open to any suggestions and I do keep getting dirty thoughts about banded steelies!!!

Petetong-handy is exactly the reason I bought it! I already had a nice low 240 saloon but although the boot was big it was useless!!! Plus I think a sideways 240 estate has more comedy value!!!

You can have it I'd you like!!! yes it already has chopped springs. Front is really low but rear is still pretty high so that'll be getting some more choppage!! I,ve seen that red one on turbo bricks, looks sweet with the banded steelies

started on the list of jobs toaday. Exhaust should have arrived by now but still haven't recieved it I did however change the bonnet hinge (ended up swapping both as it seems the other one is on its way out.) I also replaced the gearbox mount which was unbelievably soft and twisted! The engine mounts were another story, both of them were completely un-attached to themselves!! pictures speak a thousand words!!!

Forgot to say, any of you experiencing funny handling problems? check your engine mounts! I never thought it would make such a difference to the handling

Small uninteresting update - lost the clutch this afternoon!!! No fluid in the master. Seems to be a small leak coming from the reservoir/master. Tomorrows job is to investigate and fix that!

Thanks for taking the pics for me. I've just about finished making my own to exit just behind the front wing and was intrigued to know how other people are doing it.. Problem is, I was feeling a bit silly and also had a bash at making my own silencer using glassfibre matting and a short length of perf tube. I have a feeling it's going to be a little noisy. Haven't tried it yet but may concede defeat and put a 'real' one on
