From Pistonheads.com "According to one source, it uses a CEM (Cylindrical Energy Module) engine. Wassat? It's "an air-cooled, self lubricating, forced-air inducted (supercharged), 12-cylinder, double ended, ported, multi-fuelled, four-stroke engine", and it's made by Eddie Paul Industries. Despite its 300bhp output, it's said to return 70 mpg from a package weighing a mere 45Kg -- a power-to-weight ratio that's unparalleled. It's tiny too, at 18 inches in diameter and 24 inches long. There's more about it on the EPI site (see link below)." BlurbAnimationcomponents

the guy who runs DA is a compulsive liar, my friend was going to be the sole distributor for his turbo kits in this country, so he flew over to turkey to test the cars, needless to say the fit/finish and design of the systems was shoddy, and didnt make 1000bhp..the 1000bhp kit made 700 something or other on the rolling road at the fly...still bloody fast, but a long way off 1000.

I suppose at this point I could unleash my own beast to you lot. During my final year at university I designed a new type of turbine engine. It's a pulsejet-turbine engine which uses technology from the V1 flying bomb from the second world war to power a turbine. Here's some pics: Basically I built a pulsejet running on copius amounts of propane and used the turbine out of a large turbocharger. Testing involved deafening everyone on campus, scaring my neighbours at christmas... ...burning lots of the grass at university and nearly blowing the fence down at home. It was a good crack and I can lay claim to Brunel University's most dangerous project ever. Anyway, it developed 14hp at 40,000rpm, not bad for something lashed up from nothing more than exhaust pipe and spring steel. Anyway, have to have some fun when you start making jet engines so here's a few prototypes of mine: The skateboard never really caught on, I think the risk of death was too high. The scooter was a hit though:

Maybe only 4 made because it exhausted the worlds supply of pulleys and belts?

I shall stop telling people it's 1000hp. I guess you have to look at websites with synical eyes these days. sorry for telling an untruth, thanks for clearing it up nick

You might want to talk to J&F engines just outside of Reading They do a lot of work with M12 motors for Historics so may have some kit around.... I know they are totally impractical, but unless you have never experienced a Mechanical injection, Slide throttle set up you wont understand...... They do something to you ;D..... Efi, twin webers, turbos even superchargers ..... I`d swap the lot for a Lucas or preferably Kugelfischer Mechanical slide throttle set up on an M12 or BDA ;D 300hp, no electrickery just raw mechanical purity....... ....don't Idle, foul plugs and a 2-3000 rpm power band from about 8-11000 rpm but when they come alive and on Cam ;D there is nothing better ;D ;D One of the few jobs I really really miss, running historics
