Well ive been on a mission today ;D
1st a big thanks to Skoda Norman for hooking me up!
Well set off this morning to the Shire of York to see this little beauty known not a lot about it other than it had MOT and Tax and i needed a car to get back to uni tomorrow (moday)
Turned up and was gob smacked - this is show room fresh, i mean seriously the paint is mint everywhere bar a few bubbles on the bonnet (and the rear door - more in a min)
these pics were taken as soon as i got it home at 3.30 and are rubbbish. They don't even begin to do this car justice.
The suspension is running spax dampers and what i can only assume to be tarmac rally springs (really stiff spec ) big spoiler with cooling vents in, 31000on the clock, 12months MOT, 6 Months tax, new 185/60's all round, mountney wheel, minator alloys and it came with a all ally favorite 8 port 1.3 engine!!
all for £300
the only problem was the little old lady that had owned it previopusly had driven it don't a gate post scraching the rear door and arch. The guy i bough it off has started to repair it by lashing filler onto it (without keying the paint) so most of it just fell off.

i flatted it then used cellulose putty to smooth the scraches then flatted that and primed it. I'm going to get a proper rattle can from my local paint supplier that will make it look pretty until i can respray the whole car.
ive got to get up early though now as i have a lecture in uni at 3 and thats 170 miles away!
Initial ideas are Euro/Cleaned.be style meets berg cup, clean, smooth, low and stripped out. Initially its getting the favorite engine and a 5 speed box but after that who knows!
ill put some poper pics up tomorrow when its cleaned and painted in the readers rides section. Considering i was after an MX5 or a 318is ive done well!! ;D
