In the words of my MOT tester. ;D So the Bond has a fresh 12 months ticket!
The guy I take all my cars to is great - he gives a thorough but fair MOT and is always ready with advice on anything that needs doing.
The Bond was much older than anything he's used to testing, and much ribbing was taken about its general appearance, its age, and everything else... but regardless of its shortcomings, it's MOT'd. Woot!

Thanks fellas! Passed first time! To be fair though, I'd done a lot of work to it and went through the testers manual as much as I could beforehand. Should be set for Donington providing I've got the money for fuel.

I get that pretty much year in year out! Better than the alternative 'Yes, it's failed' I suppose.
Congrats though, the buzz of getting handed the magical green piece of paper after putting in a load of graft is hard to beat!

Thanks for the congrats! I am really relieved. MOT is never a pleasant time although I did have a laugh with my tester on this one, which always makes things a bit more bearable! Yay! What's it going to need for next year How long have you got?! ;D I need to replace the rear wheel bearing - I got an advisory on that. He also put an advisory on the amount of patches on the underside, but he said that's really just to cover his own backside as it is solid, it's just had lots of repairs. Fair enough I suppose! Other than that, just a whole load of tidying up, painting, fixing and suchlike. Oh and some alloys. ;D I've just given it a celebratory tune-up using an old Colourtune kit I picked up in the charity shop. It works really well and I managed to lean out the mixture so its unning a bit better now. Can't get the idle to stabilize under 1000rpm but I'll check for air leaks and have a bit more of a play.
