Dug out some more photos of previous heaps of mine... ;D Carlton Pick-Up, first picture was not long after it was finished, second one was just before I sold it... Chrysler 2-Litre, wish I had it now ... would look look great with some slamage, IMHO... Wolseley 6 landcrab, unfortunatly fitted with an 1800 engine and auto box in place of the '6' Austin 1800, doesn't look a bad £100 worth, does it? MK2 Sceptre, when the chap I sold it to collected it... And finally, this belonged to mate of mine. He bought it as an unfinished project, and I helped him finish it (welding, wiring ect)... in the summer he would give me a lift to work on it, which was... interesting...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

Chrysler 180's/2 Litres are lovely cars, which never seemed to be appreciated at the time. Carlton pickup is just ace (do you have any piccies of the build up?) What years were all that?

Unfortunatey, I gave the pictures of the build up to the chap who bought it... wish I'd kept 'em now The pick up and 1800 I had around 5 years ago, the Chrysler and Wolseley about '95/96... the trike was around 2000...

That Carlton is the nuts. Looks like a really good job too. How did you do it? There used to be a red Volvo 740 pick up in the Didcot area, which had a shortened floor pan, welded shuts and correct looking rear glass - he spent ages getting it right.
That Chrysler must be one of the very last ones too!

The Carlton started out as a saloon...I used a MK2 Astra estate tailgate for the back of the cab, and sheet steel to fill the gaps. The sills had 40 X 40mm box section in them and I also put box section across the floor where the back seat was. Someone did ask once whether it was an Aussie 'ute' version of the Carlton, which was the kind of look I was aiming for... I seem to remember the Chrysler had a badge on the glovebox saying 'phoenix', so maybe it was a special edition to get rid of the last ones? It was manual, without PAS, which I gather wasn't common. It did have groovy green velour interior, tho'...
