I will leave my Sunday clothes back home. The tester I meant was to pressurize the coolant system, but a compression test is always informative.

I have a coolant pressure tester somewhere. If I can find it I'll bring it with!

This would never work round where I am. Property is too expensive for a start. I have my own unit though. Picture standing on top of the office.

Just get a pipe flaring kit. They don't cost much. Get them from Machine Mart and the like. You'll need some fittings and some pipe and that's pretty much it. Try www.rallydesign.co.uk for the brake line parts.

if you wanna do it right get a complete kit, including a pipe bender, or do it the traveller way and bend them all by hand. but i guessing you wont be wanting the traveller way if its for the pulsar Its an easy but slightly time consuming job, alot of garages charge silly money and its all on labour as the parts are pennies.

Very busy, and very productive - much progress made, and many awesomes occurred.
News in brief:
Chris's exhaust got Rich-ed. Rascal low and suspended. Some wheels got blasted. Some painting happened. Bruce got undersealed. Some people's actions were filmed.
Thanks to Bruce for letting me put the Imp on the ramp for a while this afternoon for a little running gear maintenance - so much easier than doing it on a gravel drive.

I'm still tired, and I got 10 hours sleep last night!
It was a little strange having so few people there, but it did mean we stayed very focussed and got lots done. Until various gadgets and gizmos were found, then it all went to pot...

T'was a great weekend. Lots & LOTS of progress throughout the weekend.
Friday night got off to a good start with welding, paint prep, suspension mounts made etc...then, as VIP says, it all went a bit mad with a good dose of beer, various 80's electronic gadgets, Terminator glasses and all topped off with Pollitt hermetically sealed in pop-up tent! Laugh? I thought my trousers would never dry!
Saturday was more suspension fabrication, a spray booth made and used to good effect, two exhasusts made (Chris' Civic and a re-working of the Delica zorst), wheels blasted and painted then some late night electrical woes. Take-away curry was awesome.
Sunday was even more suspension fabbing, messy undersealing, moar painting, refitting various parts and electrical woes diagnosed and fixed thanks to a rogue fuse. Plus an Imp mechanical check-over and maintenance.
The Rascal is now sitting on the rear coilovers properly with double sheer mounts top & bottom and lots of black sticky underbody protection and (for the first time since lowering it) proper clearance across the rear axle. Just got to speak to Pro-tech about maybe another revision to the shocks with the inclusion of some helper springs, a different exhaust and some longer wheel studs and it should be nearly ready for an MOT! Getting very close to being roadworthy!
I'll be getting some photos up here tomorrow which will hopefully cover some of the weekends antics.
Thanks to everyone for a great weekend. It was quieter than 'normal' play weekends, but the upshot was even more progress than usual.
Boy am I tired today!
