Just home, had a shower, now I'm going to bed as well! (Good chance of some sleep, it's not -1 ) Everyone has already said thanks to Bruce and John, great weekend and very informative, but thanks from me too I'm sure I'll now go and buy loads of fibreglass stuff and it will sit in the corner with everything else that seemed like a good idea at the time. You'll be pleased to know that the Merc didn't get funny at all after ripping the alarm out, although all the doors locked when I switched it off I'll tinker with that some other time. Big thanks to James? (you'll all know how useless I am with names now ) for the water bottle, legend and joe the fish for the spin in his MX-5. Definitely going on my shopping list now Brilliant weekend and was really good to meet so many people, gutted I can't get down there more often, but it's only an hour and a half away so may drop down a bit more now the nights are drawing out a bit.

Huge thanks to all involved, as ever. Just got back, very tired, from the show which caused me to leave early on saturday. Wish I could have been there today too.

I got in about 11.30. The mirror blank lasted until I got onto the M5 and caned it. Luckily I could hear the wind noise getting louder so slowed down and went into the services to finish removing it. I then had to tape over the hole by stuffing paper in and then putting sticking plaster over the top lol. 200 miles with a noise equivalent of hooking a kazoo to a compressor wasn't fun.

TOP weekend!
got in a 1.30 am, after psending alomost 1 hour trying to find abingdon (drove past it!) then getting lost looking for the fella's house for more pony expressing - might have lost my archaic phone, so if anybody spots a very old phone with a vans sticker on the back - it's mine!
thanks to john for the very informative and expert advice on fibreglassing, bruce for being the host with the most, everybody else who made it down - matt, mark, ben, chris, adam, hairnet, james - and everyone else I've forgotten the name of!
- many, many LOL moments for the weekend - the inspired use of masking tape on saturday night, eschewing the use of the bbq for the steak, and using boiling oil or a shovel, the look on john's face when we all realised we could make rusty fibreglass, mark's new norweigan jago geep, si's epic viva with it's tail down stance yo! and hairnet turning up and thrusting a bag of chips into my hands without me even knowing who he was!!
- mark, we stripped the sacrificial mold off the bottle top bin - it's worked a treat!
see you all soon as I can I reckon!
kfw
- again, thanks to ALL involved

My brain has finally slowed down from it's 4,000rpm spin cycle to a speed where I think I can once again manage a keyboard (if only for a very short time!) What an epic weekend. Tiring, very tiring....but epic all the same. Some of the biggest LOL's I can remember and I'm pretty sure I can rustle up a few piccies for everyone a bit later although I think Hairnet already wins the prize for the most stupendously large photos! (Dude, please feel free to resize...my little netbook is struggling! ) John was an absolute star - spending a whole day faced by 25 of RR's finest asylum esapees and still being able to deliver an intersting, informative and very beneficial introduction to fibreglassing. I know he wasn't expecting any kind of gift, but I think we can all agree that he very much deserved it for his time & effort. Thank you to everyone for coming along....without you it would have been a pretty lame weekend and I think the laughs would have been quite thin on the ground if that was the case. I'm sorry for Tim, Jimmy & Bryn who couldn't make it along - guys, you were missed As usual the list of who to thank pretty much extends to all attendees so here's a quick summary: everyone who brought firewood, Matt for the steak cow bloodbath/meatfest, Paul for the gas heater/gas, Joe for the lovely mushrooms, Mark for the hot & tasty chillies, Chris for the mass of plastic sheeting/decoration and once again to everyone for contributing to an awesome weekend (I've probably missed a few people but since Friday morning, everything has been such a headspin/blur I apologise if I have missed mentioning you) I also wanted to give an online 'welcome' to those that came along to Area 52 for the first time. Pete (LuckyGTI) thanks for coming along and thanks also for all the help with the worktops, wood boxes etc... Kev (KFW) for coming along and just being Kev (which equates to massive LOLs for the rest of us ;D ). Sarah (CCR Beaver) I hope the 24 blokes:1 girl * ratio didn't put you off coming back? It was a pleasure to have you along. Gaz (Pickmeup) many thanks for running Daft around for gas bottles and for all the advice on Mini's etc... Jo & Clare, the repsective other halves of James & Morgs...for braving an evening in 'blokeworld' * and Jo, I have to say I am mega impressed at how such a petite young lady can pack away a slab of beef the size, shape.....and weight of Yorkshire...good lass ;D. Lastly to Rich (Foxmcintyre) and Al (Rich's friend) for coming along on Sunday and putting up with a unit full of hungover, beef laden idiots! Guys, you're more than welcome back again and Rich....you'll be getting another mention in a little bit so keep tuned ;D I'm off (rather late) to work....and despite being more tired than I can remember, mojo is at an all time high! Gotta love the people of A52 for that. THANK YOU ALL! Photos to come later..... * These comments don't take account of the presence of Miss BiAS (Coleen) who has been a long standing regular of Area 52 and has "been there/seen that/done it" when it comes to being the other-half of a car nut! I feel she must get a special mention because of her special ability to turn up and tolerate us all on a regular basis. She is a true A52 sHero and I really hope you continue to come along and join in on a regular basis?

Sarah (CCR Beaver) I hope the 24 blokes:1 girl * ratio didn't put you off coming back? It was a pleasure to have you along. Thank you for letting me come along, I had a blast, only sorry I couldn't stay longer but I had a curse word up meeting to get to with my drag racing friends ;D I ended up sleeping my my friends van and woke up to 2 inches of snow! I'd love to come back, when's the next one?

Epic Playday! I'll be there for the duration for the next one.
Thanks where thanks is due of course, but just general thanks for your concern. Also thanks to Joe for lending me the camera, it came in reet handy.
As for the neck, it's still pretty sore but it has subsided a lot in the last few hours, so hopefully I'll be fine in a day or two!
Had really good time though, good to catch up with you all.
Oh, and I think I owe A52 a couple of fresh rolls of masking tape!
Chris

if you can imagine chris, on sunday, the sheepishness of me when I had to ask bruce for some masking tape to make the fibreglass mould for the bottletop catcher....
glad you head hasn't fallen off too! - kfw

Chris = winner of random shot of the night. Left handed spontaneous shot over his shoulder straight into Kev's last precious can of cider. Huge dent, hurt finger, mahoooosive LOL's for everyone else.
Hope the neck makes a mend mate, did you have fun at junctions on the way to Taunton?
Photos tomorrow morning....spending some 'catch-up' time with GF after not being around much recently.
