I was kind of thinking the lotus rims were more like these: as opposed to the mini mayfair style 10"s. The central dish of the hustler rim reminds me of the dish in the lotus rim... but I suppose the lotus rims are a good mix of the two styles. so it'll be a RRestoration then... sweet! ;D I've got some ideas to throw in the mix... best get me crayons out...

AHA....but thanks to Swollen (damn you Phil ;D), I currently have other ideas brewing now which involve metal bands, some blocks of MDF, a big wood lathe and a rather large vacuum former! Phil, phonecall coming your way so I can rant at you for putting ideas in my head.

Since designing the original Area 52 stickers, I have had many requests from people to sell them so that they could put one on their car. The original idea was that anyone visiting Area 52 got an 'Authorized Personel' sticker (one black, one white) as a token of being part of the whole A52 thing. This will not change, the 'Authorized' stickers will remain a free item given to visitors to the unit. To try and meet the requests of people who have not yet had the opportunity to visit the unit, but would like to have an Area 52 sticker, I have just designed a 'General' sticker that can now be bought. The aim for this is twofold: 1) So that people can have a sticker without having to have been to the unit (although anyone is always welcome) 2) To raise more money for the A52 fund. Here is the new 'General' Area 52 sticker: As with the mugs, 100% of the money raised from sticker sales will go towards the ongoing costs of the unit (electricity, BBQ gas, tea/coffee etc...) as well as building a fund to buy more kit & equipment. The stickers are only available in matt black or matt white (just like the 'Authorized' versions) and are 155x55mm in size. The cost of each sticker is £2.00 and postage is free on any order of two or more stickers (50p p&p for single sticker). There is no limit to the number of stickers ordered in either colour. The outer border can be removed easily if you want to make your sticker look a little bit different, or want to make it a little bit smaller. If you would like to order any stickers, please PM me and I will get back to you with payment details etc.... I have done these in time for people to be able to order along with any mugs they wish to buy.

Was thinking something along these lines* thunderbird style rear deck but using the angular lines. rear lights moved down into rear panel and flush with recessed no. plate. was going to do more but took ages to do this!!! First mugs, then stickers? when are the area 52 tea towel coming out? ;D *Noted my photoshopping ability is zilch...

Hi Mystery Machine, sent you a PM but I was wondering if there is enough room available for me to visit this weekend? I know how to make cups of tea or even coffee! and would be able to donate a Suzuki moped to the collection of small petrol powered things

Sorry Dude, I thought I had responded....but I've just checked and I haven't - so apologies for my lack of response You're more then welcome to come along. I'll PM you directions in a minute. Thanks for the offer of stuff as well. It'll be really appreciated and if it means we can build some made 'thing' for the gathering then it'll be well used... ;D Cheers for now, Bruce.

Looks great, shame I'm all the way up here and can offer nothing other than tea making skills. What about doing one of the weird kit car thing like the Jonny cab from Total Recal

other ideas brewing now which involve metal bands, some blocks of MDF, a big wood lathe and a rather large vacuum former! In our sandyacht club workshop we have an old milking machine vacuum pump that has been used in the past for vac forming carbon masts and bodyshells for our sandyachts . . . . . we originally got it for NoWT. . . .

Is the Husler a huntsman version Looks great, shame I'm all the way up here and can offer nothing other than tea making skills. What about doing one of the weird kit car thing like the Jonny cab from Total Recal The Hustler 'buggy' is a Sport - I've got a photocopy of the original brochure somewhere which I ought to copy and stick up here so everyone can see the different models they made. The Hustler 6 (six wheeler) is the one that looks like JonnyCab and GTV Saviour reckons I should make mine look like a replica from the film. I have other plans, however ;D The orignal Hustler 6 looks something like this (when it has all the wheels on....unlike mine!) I love the idea of it, but think the proportions are completely wrong. What I have in mind is a healthy slam, bigger wheels (14" instead of 10") and then bring the roofline down a touch with the aid of an angle grinder and a glass cutter. Rake the screen back and voila.....the Hustler 6 'MM Edition' None of this will happen for a while because I have the Rascal to finish...then the Fugitive. But I have the car, so that's a start ;D The little Sport will be the Area 52 group build car, so this can be done during play weekends so it can then do a tour of some of the shows (probably next year)
