Nugget, see general section LOL @ Mark. Headache has nothing to do with Booze, no? Phil - you were a hero yesterday. I wish there was more I could have done to help, but if I got involved, everything would have gone from bad to worse

Just got back in from a very tiring, very cold but ultimatley very AWESOME weekend.
I've been struggling with headache/hangover all day but just had to go out for a mental 'brainfreeze' 1hr drive in the Fugitive (serious grin factor despite the pending frostbite & comical encounter with the police)
I'm ssoooooooo darn tired but boy, what a weekend. I'll give a better response tomorrow when I can think straight (will have thawed out by then too)
There are a few people that do need a very special mention though.
Phil & Adrian - TOTAL HEROES!!!!! Thank you both SO much for all the hard work yesterday doing all the wiring. I cannot express how much I appreciate the incredible work you both did. I feel really guilty about it....especially as you both ended up staying so late to get it sorted. I'm sorry it ended up so much work for you both....I never ever expected it to be that much! Above & beyond - really guys, you worked so flipping hard for so flipping long! After Christmas I'm coming down your way and treating you both to a meal out somewhere as small thank you for everything.
Ian....I must thank you too for an epic display of welding on the MR2 today. Seriously, your work is just amazing and watching you shape and create the bodywork like that was stuning. Sorry for dumping it on you but I think you boosted a few mojos today. It was great to have that chill out/chat after too (with some yummy fish & chips) I really enjoyed it.
Thank you to everyone else for a great weekend. Sorry we didn't get to weld anything but I think you all understand an appreciate the reasons in light of what Phil and Adrian acheived yesterday and how much it will benefit all future playdays. As Ian said today, getting the unit/workspace sorted first is a far greater priority so that the space and facilities can be used well and more effectively in the future.
With that sentiment in mind I propose that the PlayDay on Jan 10th (next official day) is spent getting the unit as 'sorted' as possible. I will draw up a list of things that need doing to get everything working/fixed/finished and post them on here so we can get organised and really get the most out of the weekend.
Anyway, many thanks again to everyone. I had a fantastic weekend and will sleep well tonight with a very boosted mojo thanks to all of you that came along and made is such a great weekend.
Photos and write up to follow when I am awake..........

Good to meet some of you guys yesterday,
Bruce - thanks for the cuppa, tour and the ride in the Fugitive, don't think I've had such a big grin for such a short drive, with the engine sorted that is going to be even more mental!
Mark - Your bits are with Bruce and thanks for the beer
cheers
Ian

Bruce, I just went to write this in my diary (in ink ;D ) and the 10th is a sunday. Am I right in assuming that it's the 9th and 10th?

Another good weekend! I'll be there for the whole thing next time though!
I have to say though, the Golf now rides a hell of a lot better but it's still ludicrously low which is good. And the stereo works a treat! Cheers for the help boys!

A bit more of a proper reply now.. What a brilliant weekend. Thanks as ever to Bruce for making it all happen. It was all awesome, even if it didn't follow The Plan Phil, we all felt so bad for not being able to help more with the wiring. Unfortunately a combination of electrical incompetence and 'too many cooks' is what held us back. I think everyone was in agreement that you had gone above and beyond the call of duty My number one observation for the weekend is that people named Mark seem to be.. well.. crazy ;D Driving a Datsun to Dublin.. drinking with me until 4.30 on sunday morning and driving home in a Senator drift car.. dancing to Ian's surreal CD.. Mental. The lot of you! It's brilliant ;D Ian.. what I saw you fabricating and welding to the sill of that MR2 was absolutely awesome. Rest assured I will be coming to you for advice And Si, Russian Standard? Gno-Mist? ;D I've missed LOADS of stuff and people out but what I'm trying to say was that the weekend was all kinds of awesome, and was made that cool because of the people that turned out

As said, was a cool relaxed weekend (for some!) rather than the planned plan. Phil and his man..... top working ethic.... no stop til its done, even if that means LED lights and a lot of graft.
I spent all of sunday recovering! Mark, hahaha really glad you made it home, would of loved to come along for the ride if Id of had a way to get home! But yes, top folks, top drinking, top danger bomb bbq, Si.... legend! hahahahaha. Bruce, top work as always.
And a +1 for GnoMist! heheheheheh still chuckling now.
