Sorry Niall, I was going to be travelling to Dublin on the 18th Dec for the weekend.....but that plan changed today and Mark is coming over here on the 12th instead.
I'm sure you'll find out why after the weekend when Mark reveals all. Can't say any more than that for now....but I am gutted I can't make it over now.
Ireland is still going to be my first destination in Sandra when it is finished so tell your folks they had better start preparing themselves for my assault on your place middle of next year.

this is turning into a wtf thread ;D YHPM ;D Right, back on track....... I have now dropped off a new toy at Area52 which I went and collected on Monday from N.Yorkshire (yeah.....just a bit of a trip!) We now have a good sandblaster! Big enough to fit things like wheels in and other largeish items that won't fit into the smaller 'hobby' blasters The best bit - it even has proper dust extraction to you can actually see what you are blasting rather than guessing due the huge dust storms they usually create It even has a hopper on the bottom of the extraction to fit a bag so that all the dust goes straight into waste. There is also a quick release hopper on the base of main cabinet so that blast media can quickly and easily be changed..... Happy days!! Anyone wanting to blast their own wheels (or other car parts) we now have the facility but there will be a nominal charge to cover the cost of running the machine, buying replacement media etc.....as well as gradually adding to the fund to buy more kit for everyone to use. I'll be getting some kiln dried sand tomorrow - setting up will have to happen on Saturday because I'll need a hand to get stuff shifted around to get this in place & running. HAPPY DAYS!!

Careful of silicosis, boys, it doesn't come out of your lungs once in. The trend here in the states is away from sand media. Walnut shells, plastic beads, even dry ice, so research it a bit for your health(s).
