he'd made it back in one piece. Oh good, I did wonder - I was looking for him going the other way when I was on the way home but I think I was too early! I doubt I'd have missed the Ford piled up with tat towing a Prarie! +1 for the excellent weekend comments, as usual I was too hungover and generally incompetent to do anything useful so I apologise for that, but hopefully you wouldn't have me any other way ;D

+1 for the excellent weekend comments, as usual I was too hungover and generally incompetent to do anything useful so I apologise for that, but hopefully you wouldn't have me any other way ;D It's very important for morale that someone is considerably more dog eared in the morning than you are, there's nothing like it (other than a bacon sarnie and a cup of tea brewed Bruce- style) for making you feel much better. It was very honourable of you to take on the role of being that person ;D In other news, I forgot to pick up my cakey tins. If someone could put them by for me to collect next month that'd be ace (or I won't have anything to fill with cookies and a cake called Herman). Glad Kev made it home OK- I know he was a bit worried about doing such a long run with the Prarie on the A- frame.

Looks like a epic weekend, despite the weather. I had some friend over so I couldn't make it. Otherwise, I would be glued to the Haichimicra. I fully endorse that paint job!

Not much progress recently, but did manage to get the safe installed. It's only a small one, but perfect for keeping the car keys safe & sound. Before, I was bringing them from home which was annoying when I got to the unit only to find I'd left them back at the house! The safe is itself kept in a locked store (only I have access) so they are as secure as they'll ever be. No more having to remember to take the keys with me any more. (the unit, store & safe keys are all kept on the same keyring as my workvan, so no chance of forgetting them!) me, elk and hardcore had one just like that, we also kept it in a locked store. lol

Did KFW get the Prarie home OK? As an armchair Retro enthusiast (aka lazy), my Sunday evening was considerably brightened by the beautiful sight of a lumbering blue old Yank pickup passing me in Epsom with a fantastically 1980's Nissan Prairie being towed behind. I wondered if it might be possible I had seen the legendary KFW, and it seems my dreams have come true! It certainly stood out amongst the traffic!

I wondered if it might be possible I had seen the legendary KFW, and it seems my dreams have come true! It certainly stood out amongst the traffic! actual LOLZ glad to have been of evening brightening service! hopefully it didn't look too shonky, although I only encountered 1 police car on the whole trip - at the services on the M1, where I nervously played a game of 'how slowly can you drink your mcdonalds cup of tea whilst watching for the police car leaving' the prairie I woud describe as 'tired' - which is great as it means I have no qualms about buggering up a tidy one! back to the area52 weekend though - another absolute smasher; late arrival for me meant waking up everybody early on saturday morning, mild de-tat, then on with tyre stretching, chatting, looking at awesome cars, chatting, standing about, chatting - then going out on a mission round bristol in the diesel grandad of RTLKyuubi to find some 7 core, so my trailer board might actually work some amazing spots later, and we get back to base, in time for rich's top wiring skills to make me fully legal (ish), the booze, curry, more chatting sunday entailed going to gloucestershire to collect my new engine and interior, sorry andy's bargain k10, and then we hd to leave the makeover midway to get to radstock to pickup akku's olds v8 and box from sleeperviva. Me getting lost and james's epic map reading skillorz meant we got to see some of somerset's premier flooded lanes - and the resulting 'all over the place' braking from the truck's soaked drums ace weekend as usual - great to see the old faces, especially colon, and good to meet you phuq and phil - also thanks to seff and mrs seff for their ace hospitality, tea and cakes, as yet again I turn up at theirs in the midlle of the night and fill the neighbourhood with old toot! ;D

I had an amazing time as ever and it's pushed my mojo right up to be back in an environment that's covered in oil and good mates. +1 On Friday night I didn't pay much attention to other goings-on, as I was busy swapping the big end shells in the Imp. This resulted in the engine being smooth and knock free for, ooh, about 10 miles. Meh. Saturday was a blur of activity. I recall RobinJI lowering his daily Passat, and having to take all the trim out to remove the rear struts, Ramp breakage and repair, mantaphil investigating the Lotus's engine, Kev having his trailer board electrics sorted, VIP's Civic coming in for some exhaust loving and CV joints, and mantaphil diving in to do Rich606's impromptu clutch change. All interspersed with food, chat, beer, tyre stretch, and firery warmth. Sunday was quite busy too, with Rich's clutch being finished, HC buying a car to transport his interior, a makeover of said car, tat collection from Radstock, some ColonRage following the installation of HC's AEK1086 on the beavertail of much rust, and finally some re-arranging of cars and tat before heading home. Oh, and having been in Kev's truck, I now want something simple, tough, and somewhat agricultural with a properly diesely diesel engine: direct injection, please. ;D

Hairpeice: I'd quite like something capable of a steady 55-60, too. A windscreen and a roof might be pleasant. Not sure a grey fergie is ideal...

I should be there for the full weekend unless anything comes up. I'll definitely make at least 1 day though.

Wibble. Wedding on Saturday, driving the happy couple to Gatwick in the wee small hours so sleeping Sunday! Friday will mostly be spent making the Jag look presentable... Might swing by on my way home on Sunday, depending on how alive I'm feeling If not, next month and I will be in the Marina.

Just had a thought, would there be any objection if I did a touch of fiberglassing on something non car related at some point over the weekend? I need to finish off some edging on a kayak I made years ago but have never done the finishing touches on. It should only be a quick job.

I have no idea if this is in reference to a conversation we've had, or to obscure film, or to bacon cake or.... They'd better be cursewordingly (pre-filtered ;D) tasty now I've said I'm baking

I had my fingers crossed for bacon cake, but basically if it involves pig and baking I'm good
