Do you guys do any "Know your way around a spanner" kind of days down at the unit?
I get boyed on by being able to change glow plugs and brake pads then tackle something big and break something. I'd love to learn a bit more.

Who wants to see jon fall in the mud? ;D Who wants to see Jon fall in the mud from another angle? ;D And heeeeeeeeere's Butterz! We did do stuff other than about with an inner tube. Some pictures when I've eaten dinner...

So, Friday night and Butterz turns up in his new Chevette. We go outside to investigate: And, erm, that was Friday night. Saturday, the Lotus is wheeled out into the yard to free up the ramp: And to have a poke around inside and take some pictures, of course ;D Ben90210's Passat comes in for suspension repairs for its forthcoming MOT. Bruce attacks a hub: The ramp also required some slight maintenance with the Passat up in the air: This picture makes more sense if you were there. But not a lot more... Tigran takes an angle grinder to the arches of his BMW: ...to fit his awesome wide wheels. ;D ;D

Butterz's Chevette in for wheel fitment trials: Two things: 1) 17 1/ 2p for a magazine. 2) Would you get away with that number plate on the cover car nowadays? The Chevette goes up in the air for a new exhaust while James gets the Hardcores' new Fiesta running. This is a recurring theme: Woohoo! It runs!

Great photos Rich, I especially like this one: Looking forward to the forthcoming weekend, hopefully got a lot lined up for it including stripping a car, starting work on the 'Area 52 Fiesta', getting back to work on the Fairlane and maybe a bit of tinkering on a new 'mini-project toy' ;D Bring it on....

Really looking forward to it, bring on the weekend.
My Passat's booked in for it's MOT this Thursday, so if it's OK then I may potter at one or two little bits out in the yard depending on how it gets on, but there shouldn't be anything big to do.

Can't wait - always a good weekend out.
Still ok to bring my car in to do the brakes? If so I'll order the last bits tomorrow.

Failed on 2 rod ends, headlight aim, rear door not opening, a brake pipe, a wheel bearing and a steering rack gaiter. Not terrible for a £300 car really. Parts have been ordered, so I'll see what I can find time to fit over the weekend if everyone (mostly Bruce) is ok with me pottering at it in the yard/doorway? I'll get everything soaking in oil tomorrow morning. It's no big deal if I don't get it all sorted though.

haha, yeah, I thought that. Very similar fails! I think it's a different brake pipe, and it's a rear wheel bearing though, I could just tighten it, but it's the one we tightened up at the Christmas play-days, and it's come loose twice since, so needs to go in the bin really. If I don't get a chance this weekend, then I'm tempted to just leave the brake pipe for the garage to do, it's my land-lords garage, and he's pretty sound about it.
