Amazing weekend. Apologies for being a bit far gone on Friday night, it would appear I underestimated the strength of my own cider ;D Thanks go to Bruce as ever, and everyone there, but I really must give special thanks to James who is an absolute genius classic-tech-1-old-school-mechanicing-and-electrical-c**t. Fiesta has never driven so well in my ownership

Amazing weekend...Thanks go to Bruce as ever, and everyone there. +1. but I really must give special thanks to James who is an absolute genius classic-tech-1-old-school-mechanicing-and-electrical-c**t. Fiesta has never driven so well in my ownership Glad I could help. Although I suspect that the points and condensor made the biggest difference. BTW, Volksangyl has recentyl had a similar problem - and the photos of the points and condensor look identical to yours. So VW Polos are another source of ignition bits. Oh, and Thomas's car was all kinds of awesome. Just perfect.
