Thanks everyone for the comments & PM's about the region code. My DVD players consist of a PS2 and a PS3 - and from what I can tell, the PS3 (my main player downstairs) cannot be de-regionalised yet Rysz kindly sent me some info last night which means I can now play any region DVD on my laptop, so thanks to his quick response, we now have the means to watch Love the Beast on the 14th in full Gathering/A52 cinematic style - I can see the snug being emptied of sofa's into the workshop space for the viewing LOL

Bruce, I have a desk/bench going spare here I just put out in the garden... I made it about 5 years ago out of 1" MDF if you want it over there as an extra (and strong) workspace?

you got suitable DVDage chap? I have a DVD player thatll play anything I've just managed to get my laptop to run R4 (will only let me change twice more between regions) so as long as I don't watch any R2 films in the next three weeks, I should be OK If you can bring a DVD player as back-up anyway that'd be great. Thanks. I'd be surprised if their isn't a region-free hack for your DVD software, Bruce.

hey guys. what's the easiest way to get from gatwick to bristol? car rental is £60+fuel... You can get the train - Thameslink into London, tube to Paddington, train to Bristol Temple Meads. Costs £35 return (ish - not used it in a while), but can be pre-booked cheaper. Might be worth looking at Megabus or National Express coaches - can cost for a few pounds each way. If you don't need to be in London and haven't booked your flight yet, you could fly in to Bristol airport from Dublin.

Man the fibreglass 'shop sounds cool as hell! I have booked the 14th off work so will be down come hell or high water.
Mark - extra hero points for trying to make it down for the next one! I've already got a load of automotive curse word parts that would make for some cool sculptures etc. On another note bruce d'ya reckon there might be time to take a angle grinder to the bee-em on the 14th weekend. It severly needs moar lowz!

I forget which though.. If you could get to Bristol airport, there's bound to be one of us that can help you out

Just to put the value of an expert teaching automotive fibreglass skills into perspective, earlier this year I spent about £140 quid on a day course. Well worth it but only two of us were car nuts, the rest were roofers so the course was aimed more at that type of use.
I'd suggest a whip round for the teacher. (No relation)
I can't find the date for the welding day is it finalised yet? I'd like to come and would happily drive and offer 6 people from London a lift.

Bruce my Doovd player is multi region if it helps? Does it have seperate RCA audio outputs? Need something with RCA or 3.5mm jack to run the sound into my amp, otherwise we'll be watching silent films...
