All kinds of awesome until the back end was just, well, pretty much standard. I like it, but the back end has always been my least favourite bit of the mk3 golf

The dude approves.... But only if it features the full corvette drivetrain, suspension, hood-opening-mechanism and a turbo or two ;D

My fave mk3 ever, though I agree I think a smoothed bootlid would suit.

Front sits great. Not digging the offset of the wheels or the stretch on the back though. I'd prefer them set inwards an inch so a bit subtle

I like that, it sits reallt, IMO a smoothed boot lid would ruin the OEM+ thats going on here, as far as i can see apart from the Vette Rims its all VAG, and all the better for it! Beautiful!

I must be looking at a different car from everyone else I like Mk3's, but all I see is a Golf in a strange colour with oddly executed arches, 'me too' mirrors, gloopy-looking Vento lights, too much stretch on the back, too much of that single clolour (needs a black lower rear valance to match the front), and a baby-poo interior Sorry, not feeling this one, but each to their own... Dale

Its not horrible, but it doesnt do anything for me as a whole! Although it has some nice touches & detail. Vette rims are not exactly cutting edge in the VW world now, and suit the Rado better IMO I like the interior (MJ I'm guessing?), but should have done the glovebox in the fudge aswell

Dale I see the exact same car that you do, except I already disliked Mk3s! The mirrors aren't so much 'me too' as just really badly chosen, not matching the rest of the car. And I vaguely know a guy who wants to put Vette wheels on his Vento-fronted Mk3 gti lol. Like the exact same car in blue. I think I might show him this *how NOT to do your car...*

I do like how it looks from the front, interesting colour aswell (is that pepper red?)
However, I'm just not getting on ith the rear rim/arch interface. Not the tuck/stretch thing more the actual placement of the wheel in the arch, does it look to far forward to anyone else? or is it just me?

All sorts of weird emotions come over me when I see that - some are like wow, some are like WTF and a bit of Hmmm, but mostly it's fear about what will happen when he hits a slightly raised drainhole cover whilst mid-corner, lol

Really don't like the look of the sidewalls & stretch - the rims would look so much better with a decent bit of sidewall around them and no stretch....

Not the tuck/stretch thing more the actual placement of the wheel in the arch, does it look to far forward to anyone else? or is it just me? its a common mk2/3 problem. the design of the rear suspension means the lower you go, the further forward the rear wheels swing. you can get something called great plates that bolt on and lengthen the trailing arm to apprently 'solve' this problem, but they're only available in one length (13mm?) so arent neccessarily right for every car/wheel/ride height combo.

I like, wheels could do with being 13mm further back though If it was mine I'd run it with more doors, more rust, 1/2 slammed on orginal steels with missing hub caps and real baby poo on the interior. Thats how we roll yo

It doesn't look too bad from the front though I wonder how it will look once the number plate has been put back on but the rest of the car doesn't do much for me, Considering it's a 2.0 GTi the rear hatch looks like any other old GL Golf and the interior would give me a headache after 10 minutes with all the poo coloured leather over the dash.
