I had been wondering for a long time what to do with my beetle hubcaps. I happened upon some photos of cigar box guitars and then i saw Seasick Steve on Top Gear and knew what i was going to make. So i raided my dad's shed when i was home and made this..
It cost me the grand total of £0. Its made from
2x beetle hubcaps
1x 2x2 fence post
1x tuning head (stolen from old classical guitar)
1x bridge (also stolen from said guitar)
2x nails
4x small screws
1x nut and bolt.
I have now swapped the guitar strings for banjo strings as the guitar strings needed tuned up too tight for neck etc.
