Presently I have some cobra fixed base and non reclining buckets which are superb for holding you in around the bends ...but are PITA go get in /out especially on a daily basis. I want to change them for something sporty and supportive, with recline facility. Obvious candidates were Imprezza WRX seats and rover 220 seats. Any other recomendations, bearing in mind budget < £150 The MX5 seats look good too...

recaros, fitted in loads of cars, and nice and comfy and supportive but still useable everyday, buy tatty ones for peanuts and get them recovered.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

I installed MX5 seats in my Fiat because they were the only ones in my budget that were narrow enough to fit. I find them to not be nearly supportive enough. They actually feel quite flat. MX5 seats are kinda copies of Porker seats. Porsche 911/944 seats are made by recaro so there are aftermarket seat brackets avaliable to fit most anything, Very supportive, high quality, and comfy

Recaros for sure - I nearly bought a set of Vauxhall ones for the Beemer as they looked just like the period correct fellas and were a fair bit cheaper. I think the Vauxhall items don't have the snob tax that the Porsche and BMW etc items seem to get added on.

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

Corrado seats are very supportive, fold forward, sit low and are reasonably cheap. A good pair shouldn't be more than £100. Pretty sure they're made by recaro as well.

As said above: Recaros, without a moments doubt. Have these in my Escort (out of an RST).. They're fantasticly supportive seats, with minimal fuss getting in and out. They don't weigh much, either.

Recaros all have universal subframe mounting points too, so I hear.
Also found in Rovers.

Recaros from an Astra mk1, 2 and 3 (the 2/3 are harder and more supportive than the mk1, which is similar to the Escort ones). Also found the Porsche 924 seats very comfy.
