Seriously, this site has some series info' on most things as you would expect for an encyclopedia, but type in a car manufacture then select a model and most times it comes up with complete data for every model including engine codes, years of manufacture, varients, film appearances, web links etc and it even hot links to the engine codes, gives a full description and tells you what other vehicle used them. If you do find a gap then it alows you to make an entry to improve the site as well. This site freakin rocks ;D en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline

Going slightly off topic the article about the skyline I have just sent to a couple of 'Barryboys' in the workplace and it has shut 'em up! because they think of skyline as being a 'modern motor' (90's onwards) and didn't realsie it orignated as far back as the 1950's, 60's and of course the wounderful 70's GT-R ;D

RB30DET
No official version exists but it is referred to by tuners as the engine can be bored to 3 liters. Also refers to a turbocharged engine featuring an RB30E block with a twin-cam head conversion. Common hybrid in Australia using a RB30E bottom end mated to a RB25DET cylinder head and turbo. Being it has a heaver shortblock (than Rb26dett), horsepower has been brought up to 1600HP (compared to 1400HP) at limits of block.

You have to be careful though, because wikipedia's content is created by just random users and so a lot of it has inaccuracies and just plain old errors.
