Brazil also has other gems besides the dubs you've posted..... This Chevy model was discontinued in the early 90's but I read somewhere that to the Brasilians this was their Cortina. Was also built in 4 door and estate or 'caravan' as they call 'em. Chevy Opala.

I'm not disputing that this car is cool (/exists) but that pic looks like a Potatoshop to me? either that or those blades of grass are massive & the car's got indoor reflections painted on its side.. HC.

HC. Well spotted.... I noticed the reflection of what looks like a chrome VW grille badge on the bonnet but didn't twig.

Agreed, but the basic car and profile do it for me, except the rear edge is not right.

I've got a photo of it from Wolfsburg. I reckon that Darren's pic, my pic and the photoshopped one are all the same car. There's a few for sale on Mercadolivre right now amongst the other Ghias: lista.mercadolivre.com.br/karmann-ghia

I've worked on one ! My friend used to have one locally but it was before the time of' the rarer VW powered the better', back then everyone wanted Beetles and he really struggled when he came to sell it.
