I think rotating valves and spherical valves are getting confused. spherical valves are basically rotating ports, and these are a problem to seal. happy? the cht looks very much like a renault push rod engine IMO

1.6 petrol (65 hp) 1.6 alcohol (74 hp) 1.6 XR alcohol (83hp)
So it was pretty gutless then, the crossflows made more than that.

Must just be me but I always classed normal type valves as a poppet valve and rotating valves as the spherical type, more common on two stroke than four stroke as the oil helps keep them lubed

CHT? Wow! Never even knew they existed! Shame they preduce pretty low power, i'd like to have something under the bonnet that no one recognizes! Well done Rmad!
