.....run down by a Retro Ride...? ;D I have..back in 1989. I remember the flat front of Mk1 Festas Samyboy... after I was mowed down by one on the way to school.. ;D My fault, walked out in front of it as I looked behind too far over my shoulder I dented the bonnet, broke the windscreen, and went up over the roof onto the road behind, appologised to the girl driving and got on the bus for school....sunk in later what happened when I started to hurt.. KLA 81V, Orange Mk1, I knew the las who owned it, she was a couple of years older than me, lived 5 doors up and I fancied her...at least I got her attention ;D When she came to sell it I wanted it, thought it would be cool to have as my first car the one that ran me down...was too rotten and my Dad said no.. Told you it was a bit Random... ;D

when i was like 6-7 i was playing on my bike and fell off and put a fapping great scratch down the side of a 2 door mk2 escort 1.1 popular, back when they were considered bangers......what id do for that car now ;D my mom argued with the woman who owned it cos she parked it half on the pavement, so in her eyes it wasnt really my fault, i think dad went and got a new door fromt he scrappy for her the only thing ive been properly ran over by is a pug 306diesel, not very retro I'm sure youll agree.....

I was punched in the face by a bunch of skinheads in a Cortina once.
I was walking down the road and a MkIV 'Tina was travelling alongside me in a traffic queue. It had Wolfrace slot mags on (a bit behind the times!) and I was looking at the car when a yob inside shouted 'What you looking' at?' at which point, being the annoying/fearless 12 year old joker I was at the time, I shouted 'you!', so he got out and smacked me in the gob. Even at the time I thought it was funny!

Closest i've ever got to being run over was by a povo-spec beige Mk1 Sierra, it was the lads first car and he was driving it like a dickhe*d and turned into our school gates a bit quick without indercating and just missed me and a couple of mates who had just hopped over the railing. Kinda regret the dent I put in his door when I kicked it as he sped off again knowing that they're a little bit hard to come by these days.

While cycling I ran over a retro car - I say I did the running over 'cos it came off worst. Very rusty Mini estate in 1990. I was heading over a mini roundabout*, and he should have given way, but seeing as it was dark and I had no lights on the bike I'll let the driver off Young lad in the Mini coming downhill on a 40mph road, and I was shifting too - I realised I'd F***ed up seconds before impact and tried to jump off/over. knackered: Front wing Bonnet B-pillar Screen Door (pedal pierced the doorskin) Rear quarter Roof panel Somehow knocked the hubcaps off - the opposite side. Shock is a wonderful thing... calmly stood up, picked up a rather bent bike, walked to the side of the road, gently sat down, leant back against a way and passed out ;D By the time Police and ambulance arrived I was surveying the damage - poor young driver was more shaken by it than I was Despite moving and using the arm before and during ambulance ride to hospital (no lights/sirens though ), turned out that my only injury was that I had sheared the ball bit that goes into your shoulder from the rest of the bone. As I said, shock can be a wonderful thing. Fortunately I had equiv. of fully comp insurance, althouth received a nasty letter from lads Dad saying he hadn't got what the car was really worth. Not a lot of sympathy, 'cos although totally my fault, the investigating copper reckoned that laddo was speeding, and given how well lit the junction was, should have seen me bike lights or not. curse word me, that's an epic *excuse pun

I've been lucky enough to have not been run over, a few cars have narrowly missed me.
I nearly lost legs in a 'humourous' jape, involving a drunk friend thinking it would be amusing to drive his Uno towards me at speed, as I was removing stuff from the boot of my old Renault 12. My reactions into jumping into the boot saved my life.
A friend of mine got run over by a Thames Valley sewage truck. He got away with minor bruising but suffered the indignation of being run over by a sh*t tnaker for much of his teenage years.

Very amusing Jumped from the back of Jeep onto the roof of an E28 BMW once, the driver then decided to do a handbrake turn, I ended up bouncing off the boot and landed hard on my shoulder. Luckily we were on a beach... Because doing that sort of thing on a road would have been stupid... I still see an osteopath to this day after getting dragged around the Quantocks in the snow on a Beetle bonnet ten years ago, behind a mates Range Rover pickup. When the Beetle bonnet broke in two, I decided to just hang onto the rope and get dragged along, I had a wetsuit on so I deemed that enough protective clothing. One four foot high bounce later and permanent spinal damage was all mine... Ahh, memories. To this day I won't buy a Beetle.

.....run down by a Retro Ride...? ;D Err sort off I wrote one off when one tried to run me down (Early MKIII Escort Estate) with a motorbike - head on combined impact in excess of 80 mph - he was driving teh wrong side of a dual carriageway at night with no lights on!!! They needed two tow trucks to separate the bike from the car and the copper reckoned I was a fat bstard judging by the bent I put in his roof..... Got the scars from the plates and screws used to bolt me back together to prove it!! Incidently it took me 13 years to rebuild the bike only 3 straight bits left and one of them was the back wheel!!!
