Yo! I'm taking delivery tomorrow of an '84 Honda cub 90 - in GOLD! Ive been concocting plans for this, and will obviously have pics tomorrow morning for you. Just wondered if y'all have any yourselves you can share or pics of cool chops/custom Cubs to get me even more excited for tomorrow? (didn't want this going on the main board as its not about cars) I can't decide whether to go for full-on chopper style, mild kustom/blinged or full blown Kustom...all I do know is I'm gonna slam the bejesus out of it! ;D

Do you think they have to fabb up all of the extended swingarms or get some from other models??
Some look a bit like scrambler or monkeybike style ones

Here's a pic of my 1967 c92 90 that I bought to use as my commuter and then sold last year It was gonna get a 110 engine and a repaint&rechrome but my head eventually told me that it was a bad idea so I sold it on I love the round headlamp ZZ models(had quite a few) but the squareheadlamp's are still great bikes, whatever you do to it I'm sure it'll look great

Yeh, I'm not too keen on squarelamps but it was horrifically cheap! I'm tempted to bung it right on eBay and make a couple of hundred quid...then buy a late '70's one.
Gonna see when it arrives.

Ah, so you would like one of these then Another one of my previous rides, this one was a 77' c70zz which I put a 70 pitbike engine in. Advantage over standard was that it had a 4-speed semi-auto 'box which made it Soooooo much better to use , disadvantage was that it didnt have a charging system so had to charge the battery every other day Steve

I was thinking maybe Honda Dax telescopic forks & small fat tyres, Kustom metalflake paint and pinstriping... and maybe a rear stretch

Here is my current project, it's a genuine Honda replica of there CR110 race bike, 50cc DOHC. A real CR110 is worth about £25-30K !!!

My last project a 69 Suzuki U50, build out of 90% old stock, overall a much better bike than a Honda cub. Just not as quick.

Just bought these two machines, the red step-through is a 74 Suzuki F50 with only 280 from new and the project is a 63 Suzuki m12 50cc supersports.

Do you think they have to fabb up all of the extended swingarms or get some from other models?? Some look a bit like scrambler or monkeybike style ones Some of them look alarmingly homemade, do you guys get the Honda CT110 over there? Looks like the swingarm may be a little longer. Not sure if I am too keen on the tube based hardtail conversions either. www.kyus.jp/cub.htm
