Model: VW Type 3 1600 Fastback Year: 1971 Mileage: <90k Tax: no MOT: no Location: Crowland, Cambridgeshire Price: £1000 ono  Additional Information: Running project This car has recently been saved from a garage where it was dry stored for the last 16 years. The ignition and fuel system needed an overhaul and with a host of new parts, its now running happily (although not fine tuned). The boxer 1600 twin carb engine is one of the most reliable ever made and didnt take a lot to get going again, though an oil change is certainly overdue! HA... Body work is in very nice condition, with only a few small areas of bubbling starting to show on the door bottoms. The sills are largely sound but the driver's side will probably need changing, A NEW SET IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE!!! Interior is very good as you can see in the images, although I have removed it to recondition the floors, which are all solid as a rock, and have been coated in anti rust paint. I will try and refit interior before it goes but will not likely have the times. Basically this car is not getting the time needed to bring it back to its best and needs to move on before it starts to deteriorate as I would hate to see it rot! Cheers, I thought it was well worth saving as most of these are rotten, but this has had most of the problem areas sorted already. I would keep it but I have WAY TOO many projects and nothing is getting finished  |

That and it's not a Golf eh JJ?  To be fair, it is a nice motor this and I'd rather have one than a Beetle. Much more exclusive! |

Like I said I am tempted to sell it, but need the cash to concentrate on other projects and pay off some debts .. is the asking price fair for a quick sale??? as the insurance valuer for a somerset vw club, type 3 fancier (if this car was a wee bit closer i'd be there with the spons right now)..........value depends on how much weldin needs doin.....mot'd untidy late fastys start at about a grand if you look around......mot less projects needin weldin on ebay are usually around the 600-800 mark dependant on how much needs doin I wouldnt let it go if i were u for less than 750....even for a quick sale |

these wheels  or these  mine mot'ed till march, 6month tax. new 40mm suspension just fitted. 1.8 carb. roof is good how much doe it need for an MOT??? |
