photos arent the best, but spent saturday trekking on the delightful M1 and M25 through the snow (wtf was that about!?) to get to Essex and move the bug back to Chris Isaacs where we mocked up the seats, pedals (and they are VERY tight for space!), 'wheel, and gauges. Beard seat the smoothed dash and narrowed glovebox and heres how the wheel and gauges will be placed.

cheers mate i expect the next few months to be bloody busy. I want the car in paint and ready to be put together by the end of Feb. Knowing Chris, i expect he will be done is a fortnight or so. Gotta sort the other gauges and harnesses now. Oh, and rememeber where ive put the steering column .... ;D After driving the benz for 9 months or so, to sit in a beetle again was so wierd. It felt tiny, like a little cart. Gonna have so much sideways action in it! ;D

Very impressive looking good, I like the decorative hands, very original feature! ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Lovely, I really like the dials.
Are those all you're going to have though? ;D

Lovely, I really like the dials. Are those all you're going to have though? ;D far from it. I didnt want autometer in the dash cos they look too aftermarket. Hence the Stewart Warners being used to appear as stock, and i will then be using autometer pro comps mounted down the tunnel/off the cage/in the glovebox to appear as aftermarket - as thats what they are. Ive got a full set of stewart warners, but will only be using speedo, oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel gauges (which will be mounted off the steering column. Down the tunnel will be boost, fuel pressure, volts, c/h temp - if i cant get them to look how i want, one or two may need to go in the glovebox. Tacho will be mounted off the cage.

I'm guessing Chris' hand is the one reaching in from the off side, kind of gnarly and worked...
So is Keefy Buddha? And if so, where's the other arms, fitting the rear panel work? Holding the seat up? Making a cup of tea? Enquiring minds want to know...

the arms from the left with the black jumper is Chris. The hand on the right is some other guy who works by who always come across to have a look at the car.
RR - SW don't do a boost gauge in the Wings range, hence the other gauges will be autometer pro comps.
