One old Rover 3.5, acid dipped and bead blasted. 4 con rods, cleaned and painted. 4 bolts, drilled and tapped. One piece of glass, ex coffee table off ebay for a fiver. 2 strings of LEDS, nice mood lighting, ebay, about two quid apiece. Enjoy

It all takes time and money, why do I never have them both at the same time?

Very nice! Like it lots! I think it would look the nuts with red or orange lighting! I got an engine in my garage i'd love to do that with but don't have the stuff to clean it up! Or even the skillz to put it together

cool I've got a RV8 block and pistons sat in the shed waiting for this treatment, when I've got time - it's a handy welding gas bottle holder at the moment

Weblefeck, i am not too far away and have a tame acid dipper.....
Just ordered some green LEDs for it, i reckon blue too harsh.
Pinto look good on end, two together make nice table, or just one with wine bottles in bores. I was gonna do that, but wine doesn't last long in this house.

I've got an ancient 1200cc VW case which I could do this with, just split the case, cut the bottom head studs off so they're level with the top ones and then use the case halves as "legs", one each end of a long glass top. Would be superb. Perhaps a waste of a case though, as the one I have in mind is nearly perfect. Tempting though!
