Have seen similar less dramatic Piaggio-badged Daihatsu vans in Italy with a rear extension. Merc ambulance reminds me of Volvo and Merc hearses and ambulances I saw once on the west coast of Denmark at a place very popular with German surf-dudes (and big slugs, but I think that was just coincidence).
