the picture i mentioned in the camper line drawing wanted is done. here it is: what do you think? might actually try it on a real camper if i decide to get one. wheels are currently undecided hence the blank ones

might be better without the Goaferboy, and a really styleized VW logo, bigger, maybe goinf over the window, so it looks like he's sprayed it on...

yeah the goaferboy was just added to take up some space. if i actually made a camper id get it done to look like he was spraying over the van and maybe a bigger logo (from roof to base maybe)
the guy is from jet set radio future. think hes called corn

i had another go at it myself. don't like the purple on yours but i do prefer the tilted VW logo. a combination of mine and yours would be good. now i just need to save for a camper!

if your prepared to do some work you can get em for under a grand.otherwise a half decent one will cost you between £1500 and £3000.if you want a really good one you could pay in excess of 9k. i got mine in '95 for £800 with full t+t (this was in the olden days when tax exemtion didnt exist) ;D ;D ;D

3000 doesnt seem much to me. i already have that saved up. bout 6 would be my limit i guess. I'm going to see how much i can save by the next vanfest and go along to look for one.
funny you should mention scrapyards. theres a vw camper at bloxham scrapyard. of i remember right it wasnt in that bad a shape. although it had pretty much been stripped.

well bear in mind a camper is not just a car, its also like a second home. plus i live with my parents, take home about £1150 a month and pay ridiculously little rent to my parents.
one thing iv been thinking about with campers is insurance. if i were to, say, put in a giant tv and surround sound would i have to declare it to the insurance company? i say this beacuse if i were to put a giant tv in my car it would just be luggage and it wouldnt matter to the insurers. would it be seen any differently in a camper?
also what insurance group is a vw camper? its something iv never thought of. not to high i hope

well i know that I'm not going to get much for 3k but I'm planning to spend about 6k. bear in mind the outside appearance doesnt mean that much to me since i intend to do the above (or similar) paintjob and the interior isnt too important since ill probably change that too. i just want something thats goes wellish and isnt falling to pieces

just drive down to newquey, hundreds of 'em broken down by the side of the road... they're not broken down, when we stop like that were brewing up or skining up. i lived there for a short while, you should see the state of some of them.ive seen better stuff in the breakers.
