1996 P reg Mini Cooper SPi, MoT til March, rotten passenger door, both A-panels FUBAR'd, rust under both headlights, rust in the scuttle panel, rear valence is rotten, bonnet gone in the corners and the paint is spotty and rough.
Inside it's stinking like a dog dirty, drivers seat has a big hole in it and is stained.
How much would you offer for it, in all seriousness?
I might be taking it on when the MoT runs out.

I'd say about £200 tops, but scene tax will push it up to 3 times that on ebay

depends what engines in it, if its a 1.3 mpi that on its owns prolly worth 2-300 quid, chrome trim always fetches a few quid, alloys or weller wheels on it will get you another 100-150quid back if the tyres are good, and a disc brake setups worth 40-50 quid, as are a solid front and rear subframe.
wherever ur mate gets complete cars for 100-150 quid regulaly from il have some to!

Someone tried to sell me a worse one for £900. You could probably sell for about £500 realistically, if you find the right person trying to get into the mini scene. Honestly, £100 - £200 is scrap price and it's worth more to the right person!

If it's an SPi it's a 1275 with single point injection meaning it's just a plain old A with a crappy throttle body bolted on (which can easily be unbolted and replaced with a carb). The engine is probably worth £200 or more. It's "worth" curse word all but I agree with the other comments, it could easily fetch 5-600 on ebay (or more if done right).

Being a 96 cooper, it's a late SPI and the cooper still had a high BHP than the stock sprites and mayfairs. Even as rough as this one sounds, i think you would struggle to get less than £500 on ebay for it if it runs ok, closer to a grand if it can be coaxed through another MOT.
But i would expect that it will need major work. From what you have described, you'll be looking at a full front end, scuttle, dash rail, A panels, prob a repair to the A posts, teh rear valance and repairs to the back edge of the boot floor/hinge panel. Plus i would bank on repairs to the floors and a set of sill being needed. With the respray, if you can't do it your self then you'll be looking at over £3k
What shape are the doors in? good 2nd hand ones are getting rare now and recon ones aren't cheap.

Suppose at least you know it won't have a load of Isopon in it, I'm sure there's stuff in similar condition going for £2000 on the basis that someone's spent half a day trowelling over the holes.

He builds 8-10 a year then sells em to racers ready built, got 3 or 4 in stock at the mo but not for sale un modded cos its his main source of income I'm affraid he used to buld bangers but theres no real money in that any more, on the down side hes curse word for old ford spares now, fortunaty I know a bloke with over 100 old fords in a few yards around essex (ish) so have to go shopping there instead As is allways the case you do something long enough you get the contacts, you get the cheapness

the one ive just restored i gave 150 for and its a 96 sprite although it had afe=ter market alloyhs, stage 1 kit and a 60's cooper red leather interior, ive had loads never paid more than 300 for a mini, but recently prices have rocketed, should make 500 on ebay bearing in mind my local miniplace charges around 500 for a 1275 lump
