I hope all reading have had as nice a few days as I have.
It's been a pretty retro Christmas at the Bognors. Young George has recieved some lovely presents, particuarly some ace wooden toys, from the grandparents and other relations.
360 Digger & Truck with mini digger and some workmen.
Fire Engine and Fire Station
Car Transporter
Its not just George that has been given some car related presents, I spent Eastenders and some of the Royals on Christmas day making a wooden slot together model of a VW Bug.
A friend of Nikki's also gave me a set of very old-school car accessories, that were found in a car they have just bought (not retro but owned by an 80 Y/O)
I recon from the contents of the first aid kit these must be of 1970's origin.
Nikki also baught me a head unit for the Micra, but there are some not as described issues that need taking up with the seller. The listing said it had an aux input. It doesn't, and its a feature that I particuarly wanted.
However its the other present from Nikki that has the greatest implications and meant the most to me, as is usually the case with essentually valuless but meaningful presents.
Inside a plain manilla envelope was the V5 for the Micra, with my details filled in as the new owner.
I am no longer a man without a car, and it is Nikki giving me permission to go fourth and modify to my hearts content.
I still can't drop it on its rrr's untill the springtime when I renew the insurance, but at least it means that there won't have to be anarguement discussion about it when the time comes. ;D
