i just never learn...i have a set of merc wheels for the t25, and i wanted to strip them back to polish them. i got out the nitromores and coated the wheel.. and coated the wheel and coated the wheel. all its done has pulled the top layer off and softened the paint enough to be a pain in the ![](http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/underwire/2009/11/fox_60.jpg) . anyone know of/used and hefty stripper which will remove powdercoat/ enamel etc. thanks, jay

nitromors will do it, but adding more of the stuff doesnt help
try to get the gel rather than the liquid
brush on a layer, leave to dry for 20 mins (doesnt seem to work too well in low temp. either, so make it around 30 mins on a cold day)
remove the layer, and 1st layer of paint/laquer
apply more
repeat ;D
four or five times, and some wire wool, should remove all paint
don't worry about paint stripper on your hands, after about 10 minutes ( when you feel the burning sensation) rinse hands with thinners

Do you guys have Klean Strip Aircraft stripper over there? That stuff will eat the paint off of anything. It burns like hell on the skin, causes cancer instantly and the smell might make you vomit...but it's really good stuff.

if the wheels have been powder coated it will be very hard to get off with nitromores best off getting them blasted. wheels are a pain to strip at the best of times

tbh i've never known Nitromors fail on anything. I seem to remember there is pretty much only one chemical that has any chance of removing powdercoat, summut like Methylene Chloride iirc, that's found in very very few places, but IS in Nitromors. Takes a while, but will do the job. It had a hard time with a go-ped frame i stripped last year, got there in the end tho.
