OK chaps, I have had the Saab for about 3 weeks now and I can tell you it runs and drives spot on. The mechanical condition of this car is a tribute to its former owner who has kept it 100% spot on.
Its just "not for me" long term, so I'm making it known its available for swaps.
This is the turbo 2.3 4 pot full pressure turbo. Its 200 BHP as stock, on UKSaabs I am told it can get 30 - 50 BHP on an ECU change (depending on which turbo pipe it is or some such). It does 0-60 in 7.1 and a top end of 145 so its not hanging about even as stock.
The Griffin is a limited edition flagship. I know they only did 400 for the US market but no idea about RHD/UK production.
You get the turbo 4 pot, 4 speed auto, leather, AC, electric everything...
Its the booted version (all these Griffins were)
Matching Eagle NCT tyres, 147K on the clock, had replacement springs, discs, pads, autobox was resealed as a preventative measure at about 110K.
Pretty much mint inside and out (a couple of scabs on the rear arches), everything seems to work except the drivers heated seat. A/C needs a regas I think and the ABS light comes on sometimes.
check this video out:
NOW tell me you don't want it!
I am looking for a RWD retro to replace it. I was looking for a yank but Mrs Ku is not at all into that idea. I have revised the "wanted" criteria to include stuff Mrs Ku likes: A60 Cambridge and Oxford, Hillman Minx, Superminx, etc. and stuff I like like Rover P6, Vauxhall Viscount, Cortina, Capri (4 pot obviously at this price), Hunter, early Carlton, Viceroy, Cav Mk1, Talbot Tagora.... I am also oddly taken by the idea of a Volvo.
Has to be a good runner, decent heater, MOT, prefer car with rear seat belts already fitted.
May be able to throw some other tat in to sweeten the deal if appropriate.
Any offers?
