Might be time for your "friend" to change his address.....

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

Anyway, the moral of the story kids, don't take stuff for granted, sellers don't always send off the V5, some of them just tuck it in the service history for you to find later when you are about to sell the car and don't have time to send it off and get it back in time, and I never even heard of a "bus gate" until "a friend of mine" got caught driving in one. Repeatedly. Brush up on your highway code. The "beware of the tram" sign might actually be a "trams and buses only" sign, yo!

My boss got a penalty charge notice for his vehicle being driven in a bus lane today.
Strange however, that he was 100 miles away from that location at the time, sitting in his office.
The camera that proudly 'caught' him in a bus lane shows a shiny new dark coloured BMW 5 series, however the registration number on the charge belongs to my boss's BMW....GS motorbike!
I looked at the photograph, which isn't very clear. The reg in my boss's bike end *N*, but at a squint you can just make out the reg on the photo is *H*. We whacked the reg and 'BMW' into the DirectGov site, and sure enough *H* is a Black 320d.
So an easy fix, but if my boss just happened to have a dark coloured 5-series as well, it would have been a lot harder to prove his innocence!
