Just had a thought. Over here, when you register a car you give them the engine number and capacity and it goes on your rego. I'm guessing it's the same over there, so are they going to have to add an extra line to the form just for you? Or are you able to register it as fwd/rwd with one motor as long as it's not linked up? Good question, I've no idea until it goes for it's biva test, I assume as I will only be using one engine on the road I will just register it with the one engine.

Looks like it might leak a bit still. Just the one baffle? You ARE planning on having this pretty sideways, right?

Just a thought..... How will the gearbox that is attached to the non-running engine cope ? In the US many (?) people 'flat' tow their cars behind RV's, so that they have something smaller to drive while the RV is parked at a campsite. www.edmunds.com/car-buying/what-cars-can-be-flat-towed-behind-an-rv.htmlA quick google tells me very little, other than some manual transmission Volvo's cannot be flat towed this way as the gearbox lubrication is driven by the engine, not the gearbox/wheel speed. Obviously if you intend to run it in dual-engine power for 99% of its miles, then there is no issue...

It's something I hadn't even thought of until you mentioned it, I can't see any issues in running just one engine, there is no pump system in the gearboxes so I can't see an issue, time will tell

Love this thread. Top build !
Years ago I was involved in a twin engined Golf project. No problem with gear lubrication on a manual as its splash fed. Auto is a different story, transmission will seize within 100 miles . Hence used to tow auto box cars either with drive wheels off the road or with prop shaft unbolted from diff.

This is where the tank will live, just need to weld on the mounting brackets, filler pipe and make a hole for the sender unit

Sometimes, others may not understand why you like a car so much. Sometimes, you may not even understand why you like a car so much. But none of that matters; all that matters is that you like the car, and having it makes you happy.

What's the restrictions on fuel tanks in road cars over there? Here, you need to have it separated from the passenger cabin. I imagine the sane applies for engines, actually. Are you going to wall off the boot space to get rid of some of the noise?

Gorgeous tank! How many miles do you reckon it will carry you with two engines? 11? 12?

It's a 13 Gallon tank, so with both engines at full chatt, I would expect about 50 or 60 miles

It's been years since I last looked at this likely this is a bit mad. Love those arches and that roof scoop is kinda subtle. Well subtle in the context of florescent yellow paint, 2 engines and wide arches.

It's also been at least a year since I last looked at this too. Madness. Just madness. But I'd love to see this in action
