done a few things recently, BMW E34 headlights aslo got the twin exhausts working on a pinto currently sorting out the stereo, getting an electronic ignition, need to change the fuel pipes in the engine bay, service the engine, rsut proof it, and then on october 1st its my daily drive

exhausts from the back pulled the rear seal off, and filled it with multipurpose sealant as there was a leak, lots of rain recently and no leaks stuck in a cd changer and a old cassette player

exhausts look spot on!
glad you have sorted the leaky window!
love the retro tape deck and the CD stack in the boot, nice n subtle, head unit looks fitting!

thanks mate, got the red oxide out today will re spray it with can, then plan get get a polisher and some cutting compound to try and make it match a bit better. will be using it daily in october to see how it goes and if its good, my plastic will be up for sale,

been 2 months since i updated it, and i drove the car throughout october and the start a november everyday, stuck 5 people in it went all over the place, the onlt realy problems were the MPG and the gearbox has been making some noise when you lift of the acclerator. done about 600miles in it and it has great fun, had a few near misses tryign to get it to stop in the wet, people seem to purposly cust in front of you etc cos you in an old car. and i did notice that people in modern cars don't like having an old car up behind them in the outside lane of the motorway

Love the exhausts dude! I'm gonna have to do the same with my rear window seal as I get a puddle on my boot floor Is that some sort of Wizardry going on up the road in that last pic? Looks like he might be washing his car with some sort of magic??! ;D

Nice bit of old school cool there mate - I considered putting some crapi pots on my XR because they are wider but not sure of the offset... BMW lights are a nice touch

yeah the rear window is fine now, the sealent did a good job.

been a few months, onyl thing that has changed is the milage and the wheels this was tank with 12 breeze blocks in the boot Paul.

well its been 18 months since the last update, the cars been fine but i just don't enjoy it as i find it a bit slow, and not entertaining enough so now i have got this once thats in a running well, i plan to get some welding sorted on the car, my overall plans for the car are tofiberglass wings and bonet then xpack it with 7.5 rs reps and turbotail, keeping it green and having the stripes re made. i also need to buy a house with a garage to fit it in so i wont get it painted until then.

really need a 2.8 injection petrol tank if anyone knows of one? looking forward to getting it out again, its been sitting for nearly 3 months

I'll be watching this one pal, I'm also putting a BOA cossy in my plastic pig, and will be encountering the same problem with the fuel tank, only difference being mines Cortina based Plenty of conversion pic's please Dave Oh yeah, don't forget to check the cam chain tensioner

nice one! can't wait to see this progress cheers, I'm not sure exactly where to check that but will find out before the engine goes in. i have most of the bits just need to get them all cleaned up etc, not back to work until friday so will have a go tomorrow.

started to get stuff done today, removed the arb and then cleaned off all the oil and rubbish cleaned up, will paint it all black later. then i started on the engine, i removed the air con rubbish and cleaned will clean up the 2 gearboxes ive got then get them turned into 1 mt75 v6 rwd box. i was planning on painting then engine but its cleaned up well and looks tidy so will just paint a couple of bits thanks

looks good - i'll be following this!
I was looking at the 2.9 conversion into a pinto shell for mine...but i'm probably not now, and i'll go 2.0i (if I can ever find one!). I got most of the bits I needed - 2.8i tank & cross member. I wasn't sure about fitting of the cross member - as being a pinto shell the front two chassis rails needs the guide holes drilling out/a tube fitted?
I also didn't know what to do about the exhaust - but if you can do those bits yourself, you're laughing ;D
