Ahhhh...you'll understand if I say "I'm out"-that's too much of a risk to take on a motor that's been to the moon and back.

to be fair, the moon is only 239k miles away (give take a couple of hundred miles), so this car has only been to the moon, had time for a quick stop for a slash and a pasty, and it's just made a start on the return journey.......

I know this car and can vouch for it being a very tidy motor & I know Paul has spent a bomb on this motor in recent months. A grand for what's there is a very good price, this motor is a beast!

Mileage alone isn't a reason to be put off and history can be falsified - learned that the hard way with a moneypit E30 when I was young and stupid. VR's don't hide any wear well so irrespective of history or mileage the best thing to do is to view and test it. I've had a few, one was dead at 75k, and a good one still going in its new vehicular home at 149k and had a 180k miler that had outlived the car (crappy corrado's lol) and was sweeter than the other two mentioned. Besides, for the price if the worst happened and it went bang VR's are as cheap as chips these days not to mention a doddle to fit. Have a free TTT on me - a lot of car for the money and if I hadn't just bought something and was selling something else...

Nice car mate, always loved the vr in the vento, and owning vr6's myself, I can vouch for what j1mmy is saying above, you can easily tell if they are fooked, and some of my higher mileage ones were in better mechanical cond than my lower mileage ones! Also my friend has got one on 56k and its not in half as good condition engine wise as mine on 114k!
If you do ever consider splitting, I would be interested in the wheels mate!
