...what did you do? we went off to TanHill, the highest pub in the UK. I went in my sister's boyfriend's RX8 wow...this is a nice car. suprising amounts of torque, it was pulling happily from 2,000rpm and boy did it rev. it's an incredibily funky car, with the huge transmission tunnel running throughout the car. it's big too, very big really. easily enough room for 4 normal sized adults. not to mention all the cool features. here she is : anyway...so coming back into hartlepool we were playing around with my sister in the focus...which meant we were going quick...coming up an A road dual carriage way, these bright lights appear behind us...curse word, it's the police! we sheepishly pull in, only to be passed by a TVR...i think it was a cebra...well, it sounded absolutely fantastic, especially when he was slowing down and you got these 'bops' from the exhaust only, he decided we wanted to play with him - and we did. it would normally be him burning past us after driving parallel and then we'd burn past him...at one point we must of touched 90ish...and it sounded fantastic...absolutely senstational, great, wonderful...we stopped at some lights, and he said, 'its too wet'....it was curse word it down, we weren't gonna drag in that. but, god, it was gorgeous. i just, wow! lol. didn't get pics, but it was just great...i love TVRs!

we also used it as an exercise for Alex's new navman sat nav...incredibily clever machine, but because we set it wrong, it sent us all over the place...took it 90minutes to get to barnard castle! after going all round crook etc. generally, tho it is quite clever, and if you change your route it changes too... i'd recomend one...i'd also recomend an RX8...and if your feeling even better, a tvr

never been in one before. iv only ever seen one close up and that was at a used car lot. been in love with them ever since. it was then that my perception of it being a modern crappy rx7 was shed
£288 i think from amazon.co.uk or £299 from apple.com or play.com

ah...quite expensive... if you get a chance, take it. i was never really that bothered by them before, but now, i think they are quite cool, and if i had that money i'd have one...altho, a Monaro would be hard to beat i reckon...

if i had the money i would have bit the bloke who had the keys arm off and thrown the money at him. should have asked for a test drive although i doubt they would have took me seriously as I'm 20 and.....scruffy. unless i put a poosh accent on and say daddies paying for it and hes a big player at the stock market...

sweet zombie jesus he must insure it with god himself! or hes "familiar" with the boss of the insurance company.
although saying that, they are only insurance group 15/16 so i guess it wouldnt be that hard. just have to give up on a few luxuries

well, worth remembering, he works away for 3 months, then back home for 3 months, so during that 3 months he can't spend it... and he just rents a room in a friend's house...saying that, he doesn't ecomoise (sp) when he is home/.

It's the cost of 20mpg on a good day with the wind behind you and a feather foot that would fighten me more than the insurance bill.
Mental.
Still, IMO the cleverest most out-of-the-box car in recent years & prolly much fun to play with. At least working on the big boats the lad's not having to juice it up that often. LOL (etc.)

fuel is the only problem, and probably why he only revved it properly about 5 times...

yeah its is a bit scary how much fuel it uses. its got some good idea though, i reckon it will be a car that will set a trend. a retro classic in the making (trying to make it more on topic, too unsubtle?)

I was in an RX-8 when I was in Japan. Very nice car. The owner took me for a late night blast in it great fun.
When I go to Tan Hill I normally take one of my 4x4`s across the pennine way to get to it great fun.

I want an RX-8! great roads round there...we ended up in Middleton-in-Teesdale, then down to Barnard Castle, along the A66 for a bit, came off, and then drove about 7 miles to the pub...with a very tight double back bend...all good fun!

They're incredibly ugly though...
RX-7 = beautiful
RX-8 = repulsive.

PS: Get an iRiver rather than an iPod. Cheaper and better.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum
