Go on then.... they're not retro in a sepia-musty kind of way but i reckon at least one of these is a modern classic. But which one of these coupes will float your boat? The Calibra.... from some angles it's purposeful and mean. From others it looks like a Cavalier that's been on the pies. The 4x4 Turbos are frighteningly quick and the V6 is sweet but it's all a bit..... cavalier. and lets not forget what the Germans do to them. Yes: No: The Corrado.... the CROWN of the VW sports range in the 90's, so it's a shame most of the oily bits are from an 80's Golf But there's no denying they still look good and are rare enough to be cool. Just leave the lexus lights on the lexus. Rover 220 Turbo..... cool street sleeper or sad old gimmer-wagon? 0-60 in 7 seconds flat, but it'll blow your flat cap off through the t-bar roof. Might be worth it for the look on the Nova boy's faces when a Rover murders them at the traffic light races.

would take a crx, but you can keep the prelude I got a 2.2 non v-tec at work and it's nowt but trouble. personally I voted for my farvourite transplant donor. clue: it wasn't the corrado as my neighbour has a sick g60 that sounds like a morning toilet trip (awful exhaust, no air filter, blown head gasket).

Shopping trolley wheel drive? Rice rockets? Saloon-derived poser mobiles? Zzzzzzzzzzz how about something completly different. BMW M coupe anyone? it even has a retro E30 derived rear axle... Quite like that idea though. Just a shame it's 'hunchback of notre dame' looks are so challenging.

Shopping trolley wheel drive? Rice rockets? Saloon-derived poser mobiles? Zzzzzzzzzzz If you were talking about my selection, it's a bit odd. All are RWD, yes they're all Japanese but that's not a bad thing and the only one that's Saloon derived is the Skyline but the first coupe variant of that came out in the 60's so that doesn't really hold much ground. The rest of the bunch has lineage back to the 60's as well, bar the Supra (unless you tie it to the 2000GT). Must be different on your side of the sphere but around these parts the Poser mobiles are the BMW's, escpecially the likes of that hideous M Coupe. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of BMW's but things are certainly percevied differently in these parts

Not that I agree, but the argument I've seen for calling Skylines poser's motors from time to time is the fact that, as a result of their appearance in Gran Turismo games, the people more likely to own them in the UK aren't hardcore enthusiasts and racers who want them for their abilities, but posing yuppie types trying to show off in a car that all the kids want. Then again, I'd agree with you that modern BMWs are far more obvious choices for yuppies.

Ah yes, the GT series of games, I guess that probably rings true for a certain amount over this way as well. The accursed game has made more people think they know what my C110 is ;D Also, I realise the GT-R's in the selection are 4WD, the erason I said that my selection is all RWD was I meant the model range of 32, 33 and 34 which bar the GTS4 and GT-R, are all RWD, it's just easier to get GT-R pictures than it is non-GT-R

Indeed the main problem with modern J stuff is it image, their just seriously uncool cars from any non chav viewpoint imo. Not to mention all that driver aid and 4wd boring you to death!
406 is a looker, would like to do a rwd version myself
