Is there any way that comments from people being arses can be deleted? as it annoys the cack out of myself and i am sure others reading posts. Yes some are whitty and humourous but others are just people picking holes in other peoples posts. For example people taking the pee out of others peoples spelling punctuation and grammer, or vehicles being offered in swaps etc. It annoys me a bit and just thought id put it down in words - if people respond great if not, oh well wasted 5 minutes in work Cheers Rusty

My mate said i was a Caravan Utilising Nomadic Tourist - not sure what he means - any ideas?

There is a generic "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all" rule and members are encouraged to:
a) Not open threads they know they wont like b) Not leave negative comments even if it is an 'opinion' c) Let bad posts sink to the bottom by ignoring them
The problem with deleting single comments is that they are often spotted by moderators after they've caused a reaction, so if you delete the comment you break the context of the thread. So the clean way to fix the problem is to lock the post and/or stick it in the winge bin.
The most helpful thing you can do as a member is to notify a moderator that you have spotted a post that needs attention, that way they can tackle the situation quickly and hopefully salvage the thread before it's too late.
The team do a great job here and have really improved things lately.

I'm not taking anything away from the moderators at all, i doff my hat to them for a great site, it is just a couple of people that pick holes where there is no need to. As i said before it annoys the poop out of me.

I see what you mean bud, poor spelling & grammar are an annoyance more than anything but it's the same on every forum I go on. The one occassion that bugged me was in the 'Stolen' section, some poor sod had his motor pinched and someone thought it was the right time to pick holes in his spelling and then tried to defend his post in the name of preserving the English language Most threads go off topic at some point, just roll with it. Being rude or aggressive should (& usually does) result in posts being deleted, on the whole the place seems to run better than alot of other forums in my opinion.

:)As LOL is an abreviation of "laugh out loud" using only the intials, it actually should be L.O.L. [using the full stops]. so there! ;D
